Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@itsfi You are the masking extraordinare! These look super fun! That Sephora lip scrub is my holy grail lip product! I love it!

I enjoyed using that hand mask as well! It definitely made my hands feel soft and smooth but the moisture didn’t seem to last long for me. I liked how I could still have a little use of my hand ( I wore them one at a time) and wasn’t completely useless. 🤗👌

Hoping to try that foot mask soon!

You say the nicest things @Shosh85; so kind!  Thank you!  The lip scrub is seriously amazing.  It being in tube form makes it less messy and very convenient that I find myself using it more frequently which is helpful and welcome as my lips are prone to being dry.

The foot masks are quite nice, especially after I've been on my feet for long periods of time.  I think @bakeamuffin posted previously that she kept them on overnight - I may give that a try next time.

@itsfi yes, do give that a try 😄 I’m thinking about buying a few more of these to have on hand for summer. I think it would be perfect after a day of hiking or running around the beach, they just feel very relaxing and make you feet so soft ☺️

I love the Sephora collection hand foot and lip masks! For $3 on the lip mask it’s completely worth it to me I do them once a week and after my lush lip scrub. I think the hydration and plumpness of my lips is how I gauge their worth lol!

YES @SAlyFitz, completely agree!!!  Sephora Collection has put out some great masks and at good price points, too.  I'll try the lip mask again, I do like that it stays on without me having to be lying down the entire time.  Are there other Sephora Collection masks you like?  I'm thinking about trying out one of their hair masks.

I loved the watermelon after sun mask definitely on my repurchase list it really reduced redness me for me and hydrated my skin after I burned it😞 I’ve used the sleeping masks too and I’m currently using the pearl which is supposed to be brightening and I think it is I really like the lip masks above a lot of other lip masks I’ve tried and the hand and foot really are good and full of serum!

Oh no, sorry to hear about the burn @SAlyFitz!  That can be painful, but it sounds like you are on the mend.  I have the watermelon mask, just haven't used it yet, but it sounds promising if it's on your repurchase list.  I do like the Sephora Collection pearl mask too!  🙂

Tried the Oseque Dual Bubble Toctoc Mask. It’s a sheet mask, that bubbles...first time trying a bubble mask, and honestly, I really do not love this new culture of masks that “do something”. I don’t need to bubbles people, really! I just want a sheet mask that works, without the added gimic. The bubbles were seriously intense and I felt like they were taking over!!! I couldn’t relax and could hear the bubbles expanding and growing all around me! It was kinda like being slowly drowned in a bowl of Rice Krispies!!! Snap, Crackle, Pop all around me! The bubbles got seriously close to my eyes and made me nervous! Then, when I removed my mask, it was not a “massage remaining essence into the skin” scenario as write up says! The remaining essence was a full face of white bubbles, even without mask on, that rubbed into a thick white lather like shaving cream! Seriously disappointed as the remaining essence being patted into my skin, arms and elbows is part of my favorite part of a sheet mask, so I washed off all the essence and I have to admit the after effect was, indeed, beautiful bright skin and made me feel bad that I used the mask in the evening, and not as a morning mask cause I definitely wanted to show off the brightness of my skin, and it felt and looked soooo clean. So again it did it’s job, I just absolutely hated the process!!

I feel like most people don’t like these masks. I’m one of the weird ones that like these, haha! I tried the GlamGlow Bubblesheet mask recently and it sounds pretty much the same, but not quite as messy. I liked the “snap, crackle, pop” feeling, haha! It felt like a nice deep cleaning. It’s funny you said that too, because that’s exactly what I was thinking when I had it on, haha! @KrishAtl

I agree with @bakeamuffin! When I had it on I thought I looked like Mike Myer, haha! Although, @yankeefaithful and @itsfi thought I looked like a Werewolf, haha! 🐺

 That's right @KrishAtl @Shosh85 did say she liked it, but it had been a full moon, and I think her inner wild side took over (werewolf)!!! Her bubbles looked fuzzier where yours look foamy!! Not sure I would like the snap, crackle and popping!! Not sure I would try this, especially with the full moon coming!!🤪😱

Getting in on the Creme Shop gang with this penguin mask. 

Update: I went in having really really have expectations given all the love shown to Creme Shop masks. I kept the sheet mask on for about 30 minutes and surprisingly when I removed it my skin felt a little tight and dry. I waited an hour after removing it to see and my skin still felt dry and I had to follow with a few layers of essence and moisturizer. I noticed Alcohol Denat is the 5th ingredient, higher then even the hyaluronic acid. My skin gets dry with alcohol so I'm guessing thats why I didn't love it. I'm still going to try to get some other Creme Shop masks, but avoid ones with high alcohol content.

@Aaliaa Oh man, sorry this one was disappointing! 😕 This is one I haven’t tried yet, and I probably won’t because my face is pretty sensitive to alcohols and gets dried out easily! I think you’ll enjoy some of the other Creme Shops masks though! 👌🤗

@Aaliaa Thanks for your review! I won’t be getting this mask. It looked promising but like you said it contains too much alcohol and it’s rather drying than moisturizing!

Oh, that’s a bummer @Aaliaa! I was liking the sounds of this one when I was reading about it, I definitely would have thought it’d be nice for my dry skin, but I don’t like that tight feeling at all! Thanks for sharing your experience with it 💕 btw; where did you find it?!?

@Aaliaa  Please do share what you think of this mask. 🙂  I haven't tried the penguin one yet but the fact that is "infused with moisturizing hyaluronic acid" sounds promising.
