Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Started morning masking with Farmacy Honey Potion, a popular and regular mask in my skincare routine.  It’s a great mask to use alone or in combination with other masks and treatments.  Then I went for the Missha Herb in Nude Sheet Mask (Moisturizing Care)  - The first thing I notice when I tear into the Missha pouch is the scent of roses – it smells amazing, to me, at least.  If you are sensitive to fragrance or if you generally do not like floral, or rose, scents, this mask will not be for you. 

The second thing I notice about the Missha mask is how much essence such a thin (and I mean, thiiiiiiin) cotton mask holds – at first blush, it feels like it might border on holding too much essence.  Considering how saturated in essence the mask is, I thought I would experience a lot of slippery-ness from the mask, but quite the opposite – except for some slip in the area above the lips, it adhered easily and well, and there was enough essence just in the sheet mask alone for me to spread the essence down my neck, arms and shoulders – there’s a lot of serum in this mask.   Ohh, the mask fits amazingly well; almost seamlessly into the skin.

The instructions say to leave the mask on for 20 minutes but there’s so much essence in it that you can leave it on for much longer than that.  Even with my dehydrated skin (that typically drinks up the essence from masks very quickly), the sheet mask was still saturated after half an hour  of wear, so I could have kept this longer if I wanted to or had the time to do so. I found the results to be amazing – soft, dewy, smooth and moisturized skin.  This one is going on my list of masks to repurchase and when I do, I’m going to try out the other ‘flavors’ in the range.

@MackyDeanna  I ordered the sheet mask from Missha direct - misshaus(dot)com.  It's also available through yesstyle(dot)com, which ships to the US and Canada.  I saw a variety set on amazon as well.  For anyone in Canada who's interested in it, in addition to YesStyle, it's available at roseroseshop(dot)com.  If you end up purchasing this one or the others in the line, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts after you've had a chance to use them.

Thanks @Shosh85! Isn't the Farmacy honey mask fab? The rose scent on the Missha mask is noticeable but not overwhelming.

@itsfi  I'm glad you enjoyed your masking! Haven't tried the Honey Potion or Missha mask. I'm not sure I would like the Herb in Nude(makes me think of naked rosemary!) because of the fragrance. Not much into floral. It's great that there was so much essence, you could use it on other places! I'm glad you enjoyed your morning masking!!😊

Y’all have turned me into a masking monster!!! Lol! My June Facetory is here! Seriously only signed up because I am so obsessed with masking now... can not wait to try them out!!! I seriously considered spending the whole day in my room using one after the other today, then slapped myself over the waste of money that would be!! But, the good news is that my skin has a gorgeous glow from the slaps😁😁😁😘😘😘!!!

Facetory is a great, great way to try a variety of sheet masks @KrishAtl!  And I've found they have brands that are new to me as well, which is great!  Will be looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your masks!  I'm with @bakeamuffin, that pina colada mask looks interesting!  I received a mojito one from them and will need to give that one a try soon.  Happy masking!

I haven't been able to sign in and in the process I feel like I've hardly masked the last six weeks. Life's been busy and I didn't realize how much this thread actually motivated me to mask. Last night I used the Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask and then the Midnight Radiance Mask. I think the masks are good, but given the hefty price tag you can get better masks for less.

On a more practical note: We are coming to the end of six months on this thread and I feel like we've done every possible masking week option so I'm thinking of repeating it? What do you guys think? Do you have weekly options that you would like me to add?
