Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
You should definitely try the watermelon sleeping mask. I can't remember who it was but someone mentioned it smells like watermelon jolly ranchers and it sure does. It's also hydrating. I think those with skin on the dry side might fare better layering the sleeping mask on top of a moisturizer. Those with normal-to-oily skin might be able to just use this as their moisturizer, particularly in the warmer months, without the need for a separate moisturizer underneath.
I wish it smelled like either orange or coconut. Sadly, it's not scented at all. 😞 If you can pick up one of these masks to try, I think it's worth it; there's a few from Leaders I really like.
I agree with @Aaliaa. The Laneige and Glow Recipe sleeping masks have different textures - the consistency on the Laneige sleeping mask reminds me of a gel moisturizer, while the Glow Recipe Watermelon sleeping mask is a lot thinner, almost watery jello-like (?). I have foils of both the Laneige and Glow Recipe mask and am happy to send them to you if you'd like to try them.
@Aaliaa@itsfi Goopy Jelly and runny jello sure do sound interesting. I have the Laneiage and love it but sometimes feel like when it takes forever to dry cause I layer so much skincare and to be honest, I'm so freaking busy lately with work i'm exhausted at night. I'm lucky if I complete my skincare routine twice/week. So I'm now really loking at ways to simplify and save time I guess while still getting all the benefits.
I hear ya about the wait for all the layers of skincare to dry! Lately, I've left my sleeping mask on my night stand and, on nights when I'm too tired to do my complete skincare routine, I will double cleanse and then either pat on a couple layers of the Glow Recipe sleeping mask, or use the GlamGlow ThirstyMud as an overnight mask and be done. Not ideal but it works.
Thats one of the reasons I love this mask @GG84! I use it on nights when I can't be asked to do multiple steps but want to do something. My skin feels soft after using it. I don't really think of it as a mask, to me its like an essence meets a light AHA meets a really light moisturizer in one. That probably makes no sense but if you get a chance to try it, I would recommend doing so.
I've never heard of this mask before, but I'm intrigued. What are the black specks?
Sorry about the migraine @GG84, feel better soon.
@GG84 So sorry to hear that you have a migraine. I always end up trying to sleep to get rid of the nasty thing, but sometimes you can't even sleep. I think, for me, the change in seasons and pollen and all the different weather fronts make it worse! I hope you get some relief!!😫
So sorry to hear about your migraine. Hope you feel better soon!
Oh man, feel better @GG84. This week when I had sinus headaches I would stick my sheet mask in the fridge before applying. It really seemed to help the headache - maybe give that a shot?
Morning report. My skin appears tighter and it does actually feel brightened! (I don't know why I was skeptical, for some reason I was.) The SK-II’s Brightening Derm Revival Mask is still my holy grail, but it is nice to have an option that isn't the hassle of a sheet mask. I.e., I folded laundry while I had the Sisley on. It's not a 2-3x a week mask, but I will continue to use it now and again, and will consider buying it again if I have a discount code.
That SK-II mask is fabulous! Fitting of holy grail status!
