Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Awwww, so nice of you to say. I didn't get around to taking a pic with the mask on but I completely understand why you like this mask. It's so hydrating and moisturizing - love it! It's on my list of items to repurchase.

@sojess I was thinking to use this mask, also! I received it in some hydration packet only God knows how long ago. I’m glad it worked so well for you!

Really helpful that the packet has an expiration date on it so even though, like you, I can't really remember how long ago I got it I know it's still good. And this one was good until next year so yay for that, too!

Well not technically a sheet mask but sort of a sheet pore strip. And multi-masking as well, so getting in on last week’s fun. But sharing anyway. Step 1: Dr. Jart Pore Master Patch Part 1 + Caudalie Instant Detox Mask to deeply cleanse. Step 2: Dr. Jart Pore Master Patch Step 2 + Fresh Rose Face Mask for hydrating and toning! I love this two step combo for deep cleansing and detoxifying and then soothing and repairing any irritation before I go to bed. First mask and pore strip dry really stiff but step 2 feels super luxe and so hydrating. Also I think my pore strip part 2 might have been on upside down? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Review of "K" beauty DoYou 2 Step milk peeling kit. This mask is made in Korea and I got it as a sample in my last Sephora order. I didn't take a before pic and I sure wish I had. My morning started @ 6am outside in 20 degree windy frigidness putting out hay and taking off a dead cow. I was dry, wind burned, fine lines, furrow browed and sad.

This peel is a lactic and glycolic peel, more lactic, and a hyaluronic heavy sheet mask. You open the small side (carefully! I lost ALOT of product just dumping it out. The peel comes on a huge q-tip and even after dumping product, I had enough to do my face, neck and chest. With the lost product, I could have done the back of my hands.

Apply the peel all over. I am showing the nastiness it took off my skin even after I cleansed first. My skin is NOT sensitive, but I felt a bit of a tingle. Could've been the windburn.

Apply the mask. It's a really nice thick wet mask and it fit me really well. It says leave on for 20 minutes but I left it on for about 35 because I had to do laundry. It was just starting to dry. I dipped it in the packet and rubbed the extra serum on my neck, chest, arms and hands.

The final pic looks like my face is still wet, but it's not! I am just super hydrated! It takes awhile to sink in and as it dries takes in a thicker serum like texture.

Final thoughts, I really like this mask. I won't know the benefits if any of the peel for a day or two, but my skin is hydrated, plumped, more even toned, and no more wind burn. My brow isn't as wrinkled and the lines around my eyes aren't as noticable. I'm 48, so there are wrinkles regardless! I have alot of peels and masks to work through, but would consider purchasing for winter use when I'm not using my more advanced peels (hello DDG ferulic and retinol and DE Babyfacial). This would be great for those who don't or can't do harsher peels. You can check Sephora for the complete list of ingredients.

Sheet mask multi-masking this morning. Love the FANCL mask for its purely hydrating purposes and the eye pads are really cooling and relaxing. I also applied the Laneige Lip Mask and am officially sold on it and wish it came in a stick packaging for my bag.

Do you like the Sephora lip masks, @Aaliaa? Each time I look at them in store I wonder if they’re kind of gimmicky. Also - where did you buy the Fancl?
