Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I totally cheated on this because I don't really have a good handle on multimasking. So I just used 3 variations of the same mask: Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask in lavender citrus, sweet citrus and sweet basil mint. I did go ahead and do the Bite agave lip mask and Number 4 hair mask too though, so I suppose that counts? Anyway, I had been ignoring the Maran masks for a while so it was a good excuse to get them out. I find they dry out pretty quickly once open so I will be returning to them a lot in the next few weeks.

OoO @Alphaboo I have to admit, I have never used a single JM product in my life. But those masks look creamy and dreamy! Are they for moisture?

No, they are a fairly basic mud mask with argan oil added so they aren't drying at all. They also have tiny exfoliating particles. They leave your skin nicely soft but aren't really moisturizing.

Last night I multi masked by using glamglow supermud as a spot treatment, a Korean lip mask (e-lips I think?) and a briogeo gel to oil hair mask. Glamglow reduced pimples like always, briogeo made my hair super soft and shiny, and the lip mask was super moisturizing and made my lips appear a bit fuller. Tomorrow I might try to multi mask for real with a boscia mask for the blackheads and perhaps youthmud to brighten. And brightmud for the eyes.

 I had fun yesterday on a snowy evening,figuring out how many masks I could use at once.I only used one exfoliating mask so I wouldn't irritate my skin and GlamGlow super mud was used as a spot treatment not all over.
Used in this order=
Bliss-Glamglow-Blue tansy-PTR cucumber-Laneige multiberry-Hyaluronic Acid  Sheet mask-Bobbie Brown-Juice beauty eye-Sisley eye.

So I tried the FAB jelly mask yesterday... I put it on and then sat at my computer to work for a while and forgot about it! I had it on for about 90 minutes instead of 10 like it said. Whoops! It dried down in a way that seemed sort of like a serum, but when I went to rinse it off it rehydrated and turned into the full jelly layer again which was cool 👩‍🔬

I was kind of meh about trying it but my skin seemed to be pretty happy with it, and the aromatherapy part of smelling like a raw juicing bar was fun (why I tried it in the AM). I'd buy this... it's going on the post-stash replenishment list.

I finally figured out what bothered me about it, though... it sounds silly but I really hate the hot pink next to the orange tint of the mask! I wish they had put it in a cobalt-colored tub or something. The mask looks weirdly dingy in the package.
