Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Oooooooooookay - i feel like i kind of bent the rules... again. 

So, when I'm feeling really into some pampering I'll do a "mask marathon" where i basically give myself a facial - but purposefully take long so i can watch YouTube by myself in the peace and quiet 😉

Essentially, I used all the masks below but not at the same time. My multimasking / masking marathon looked like this:
1. Sugar face scrub

• this is my favorite physical scrub - it smells great and does a great job of exfoliating the face and lips

2. Glamglow

• after physically scrubbing the heck out of my face I wanted to suck all the dirt and oil out of my pores. I was a little surprised - other than my chin there weren't many spots indicating oil

3. Lancome Overnight Mask

• To add that moisture back in, I slathered on a layer of the overnight mask and let it sink in all day. 

4. PTR Eye Mask

• Added an eye mask for good measure 🙂 This was the first time I'd used this eye mask and it's super cooling and depuffing. Would recommend!

Masking Marathon!

I love masking marathons! My favorite is when I can talk my husband into doing it with me on a Sunday afternoon💁🏻‍♀️ I have a sample of those eye masks— I’ll try it out tomorrow!

I love this masking marathon, so many great masks!! I do the same thing, wear each mask for longer and watch YT or re-runs on TV. The best thing to destress after a long day! @scott1201

I can't say I really have any weird face masks so this jelly mask was about as weird as I could get.  I bought this when it first came out and it's been hanging out in my fridge way too long. (Not because it isn't good but more because it keeps getting shoved behind food.)

It's less jello-like vs. their shower jellies.  Almost like an insanely thick pudding. I like the scent and how it feels on my skin (as well as the longer shelf life vs. their fresh masks), but the jelly part is just a gimmick for me.  I find it messier to have to warm it between my hands before applying to my face and seem to end up with chunks in the sink and on the counter.  These days I've been worked to the bone and don't even have the time to do a long mask ritual (it's sad when skincare feels like work) so this extra step feels like too much to me these days.

That said, this week should be a little lighter as I switch schedules for my side hustle job so hopefully it'll be a perfect week to multi-mask.  (And I have a pesky pimple on my cheek so sadly multitasking also makes sense right now. 😞 )

I do my Lush jelly masks in the bath! They don't really dry so it doesn't seem to affect them. I have Bunnymoon, Just to Clarify, and another one for redness that I forget the name of right now and I like to multimask them all at the same time. It makes it easy to clean up afterwards because I rinse the tub out when I'm all done anyways 🙂 hopefully that helps!

@fieldsofclover I'm not really an instruction reader but upon reading them, it's common to feel the burn baby burn. Have you tried it before? I had this weird dry patch near my nose and it actually ate away all the dead skin cells 🤔🙃 The geek in me thinks its very cool.

@GG84 I haven't tried it yet, but I'm reaching peak DDG-peel-efficacy so I've been thinking about what to work on next. Probably time to start in on all the reward minis of Good Genes, then I'll be in shape for a bottle of Sukari by the sale in April. 🏋️‍♀️

They must have liked him, he came back with 6 samples in the bag. Ps i'm sure its terrible @Aaliaa like 25%  AHA? Who needs that kind of glorious exfoliation. No one needs smooth, resurfaced skin. Nope, no one. Total pass 😃
