Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Week 4: 'Weird Mask'

These are not so much weird as they are different masks than I've normally used or seen, but one does bubble...

 L to R: Etude House Heating Eye Mask, Bliss Labs Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing MaskThe Bliss mask is one I picked up after going to one of their spas and getting their oxygen facial... and it's the one that bubbles / foams up. I find it does brighten my complexion a bit, makes it look/feel more refreshed.  I usually use after a physical exfoliant and then follow with a hydrating sheet mask, but last night, I followed up with the heating eye mask.  Most eye masks I've used just go under my eyes; this one looks more like one of those mask you put on and fall asleep with. It also has stretchy cotton gauze-like straps that you pull on over your ears to keep the mask in place. The mask does warm up but not unbearably so and the lavender scent is very light - it didn't bother me and was relaxing, actually.

That eye mask is ADORABLE, @Anonymous! I also really enjoy the bubbling bliss mask - I feel like it does a really good deep clean. I bet your face feels squeaky clean!

@Anonymous, The heating eye mask is uber cute! Haha I use the KAO ones when I have a difficult time falling asleep but I need these in my life. And, ooo going to a Bliss spa sounds so blissful.

Yes, Bliss spa was very "blissful" - hahaha!  It was the first time I had been to one of their spas before.

@juliehnguyen@Kim888@Aaliaa@AnonymousI really like both of these masks,this isn't the first time I have used them and I would use again.The birds nest sheet mask is moisturizing and at about $2 per mask is affordable as well.The Rodial snake mask is a peel off mask and it does leave my skin brighter and smooth.One thing to note is that it does hurt a bit to peel off,more than my other favorite peel off(Glamglow gravity mud) so might not be good for anyone sensitive. It is pretty pricey ($83Cad) for this one but I have had luck finding it at Winners or in value sets.

I like the glam glow ones precisely because they don’t hurt and I get to satisfy my peeling urges.  @Seymore3.  Birds nest... I don’t think i’ve tried those.

I've been lurking here but haven't posted much yet...guess it's time to change that!

Tonight's selection is Skyn Iceland Great Start Mask. I got this in a gwp at some point, but it will be a definite purchase (at some point in the future once I use up some of the massive stash I pulled it out of...so sad that I'll have to wait for more 😞 )

The packet packaging is a bit obnoxious...even the "full size" is just a box of six of these sets. But...at least there's enough in each packet to get two uses, so I just decanted them into small jars to store the rest 👍

It's bubbly and cooling and warming all at the same time, and my face feels so smooth and clean afterwards. Definite love!

I've heard a lot about this brand recently but never tried anything. Glad it worked well for you @RGbrown, I'll try and keep a look our for a sample!
