Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I feel like I always get pomegranate because they’re the only flavor in stock! I do know I’ve tried the avocado before and it’s great, too. Honestly, they’re probably all the same with just different frangrances - but, I think the overall formula is wonderful.

I am absolutely obsessed with Sheet masks! My go-to, as of right now, is Saturday Skin Brightening Mask. IT IS EVERYTHING! For overnight hydrating mask is bounce back and forth between Laniege Overnight Water Mask, Glow Recipes Watermelon Mask, and Origins Quench Overnight Mask. If you want to try out Origins’ masks, they have sample pods for $4. So worth it, and you can usually squeeze 2-3 uses out of one pod.

@meggyFRESH, all of those masks are fabulous!  Of the 3 overnight masks, do you have a preference?

Technically this isn't a mask but I sort of use it as one. I've been applying a thick layer of this to my hands most nights and massaging it into my hands. It is really hydrating and I might need to pick up another one when I run out. Its too rich for daytime, but for night its a great choice.

The smells quite strong but I love Neroli! I do think for a hand cream its very expensive (I believe around $40). I got given this as a present but now I think I might actually repurchase it again next winter. @Anonymous

Yes, neroli is a strong scent. I have a DS of an eye serum with neroli in it but the heavy fragrance keeps me from using it as that. After seeing your post @Aaliaa, I'm going to use the serum with a moisturizer for my hands.  Thanks!

I agree, I wouldn't be comfortable putting essential oils close to my eyes. The skin is so sensitive and could irritate your eyes. @Anonymous

So I have a Sephora set with the whole shebang. Hair, eyes, lips, face, hands and feet. Does anyone feel bad about using products occasionally? It’s a weird struggle. My internal debate was

*oh it’s a whole set you should save it for a special occasion and not waste it on a workday

/but I bought it to use it and it will expire and I keep putting off using products and that’s how I’ve become a candidate for TLC’s makeup hoarders reality show. Plus you can rebuy if you like!!

I love the variety in the Sephora set @nikki!  Ohhh that internal debate!!  I have to remind myself that I purchased it to be used.  I'm shopping my sheet mask stash until I get down to the last few and trying to keep track of which ones I like and repurchasing those.

Ain't that the truth! I'm on a no-buy  for beauty products for the rest of the year; the only allowances I have given myself is if I am restocking a HG product or for a birthday treat, I can buy new toys to place with.

Oh I do that too!! I once had a lush bath bomb given to me and I kept it for years 'for a special occasion'. I also have a handbag from 4 years ago that I LOVE thats lying pretty because it might get spoilt. WHYYY do we do this? My cupboard isn't enjoying the bag!! @nikki

Loved the lip mask, hand mask and foot mask. The lavender foot mask smelled amazing. Lip mask definitely made my lips smooth and look plumper. Still debating my feelings on the face mask. The rose mask didn’t do enough to brighten for me to rebuy. And the hair mask left my hair clumpy. I’m not sure if I didn’t rinse well enough or what, so i might retry since theres some left in the package.

Lip, hand or foot mask week Tried the Sephora Avacado Skin hand mask and it was divine!! Was very easy to use - no muss, no fuss at all. I couldn’t take a pic once they were on -obviously - but the next day my hands were soft, supple and even the wrinkles on my knuckles looked reduced. It even helped a painful hangnails I had to heal. Will buy again and again! Have a foot mask to try this week as well and it will be first time trying it, so I’m super excited. Have also purchased the Sephora Argan Hand Mask to try next.

Thanks Aaliaa! It’s L’Oréal Madeleine Sucree and for such an affordable nail polish, it’s got serious staying power. I do use the Essie Gel Setter tip coat though.
