Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
Oooh, never tried these lip masks @Anonymous! Glad to know you like it!
I love Hask hair masks @Anonymous have you tried the Greek yogurt ones? They smell amazing. I brought them along on my trip to the Bahamas to keep my hair soft after all the sun and surf damage during the day and they worked superb for that.
@nikki, they make Greek yogurt masks?!?! I didn't know they made Greek yogurt ones. They sound fantastic and very moisturizing. I've only tried the coconut oil one and now the macadamia oil. I'm going to have to look for their Greek yogurt line. Thank you!!!
I sorted through foils, DS and mini's of hair products this weekend and put them in different containers, including ones to give away and ones to try - this hair mask fell in the "ones to try" bucket. I don't give my hair the attention I suspect it has been begging for so I'm aiming to do more hair masks this year. These are at a good price point and I love how easily it detangles, smoothes and softens my hair.
That sounds great @Anonymous thank you for the review. And I need to organize like that soon!
I know it's super popular but I don't think the Laneige water sleeping mask is doing me any favors. Last night was the third time I tried it (once a week or so) and even with a very thin layer I woke up unimpressed this morning and was all clogged up even after double-cleansing.
So now I'm trying the also-super-popular Boscia black peel-off mask (I have a DS somehow, probably from a Play box). Let's see if the popularity cage match helps them cancel each other out successfully, or if I just end up regretting both 😂
Yeah the Laneige masks (both face and lips) haven't worked for me. I do want to give the lip mask another go, but some brands just don't work with certain skins.
I'm so sorry to hear the Laneige sleeping mask didn't work out for you @fieldsofclover. There are other sleeping masks out there, including the Glow Recipe watermelon one and the Origins Drink it Up Intensive mask that you used previously - that's a great overnight mask. Hope the Boscia mask works out.
Looking good @Kim888! I bought one for this week, so looking forward to trying it out.
@Kim888, I love the Sephora foot masks too - so moisturizing; my feet love 'em! 🙂 I grab a pot of tea or a cup of hot cocoa, put these on and read the book for the BIC book club ... ahhhh, so relaxing!
Agree too about the almond one - I like it better than the lavender one as well.
@Anonymous,
ohhhh, that sounds like a relaxing way to spend the day!
@Kim888@Anonymous how frequently do you use this foot mask? Do you think it does a better job of moisturizing than slathering on lotion on your feet and putting on socks before bed?
@Anonymous, I probably use these foot masks about 1-2 times per month. Because my feet can use all the help they can get, I use them in addition to putting lotion on my feet and covering them with socks before bed, but as @Kim888 says, these foot masks are easier to use. I stocked up during the sale - both to give as gifts and also for myself. During the holidays, I put a basket filled with these, the hand masks and other treats in the spare room and many of the people we had over raved about them.
@Anonymous I use them like every other week! and it is definitely similar to lotion in a sock but for me it just creates less of a mess - it's just way easier to put these on and have the perfect amount of lotion inside and not worry about any clean up haha
@Kim888 This is exactly why I love them! I'm looking forward to trying the almond one... I have a few but haven't used them yet.
Yesterday was a good day for masking. I started in the morning with the Glam Glow Youthmud and my skin LOVED it. I haven't used it for years and my pores and blackheads felt cleaned and smoothed out. I'm going to keep an eye out for samples for this one! I followed this with the Glam Glow FlashMud Brightening mask. At first I thought it didn't do much, but later I noticed my skin was definitely glowing. Then in the evening I used a Danielle Sheet mask that I picked up from Winners. A good go to mask for me.
Sounds like a great day of masking @Aaliaa! I do love the YouthMud mask; will have to bring that back into the rotation. I have a DS of the FlashMud Brightening Mask but have not opened it up yet. Good to know that it brightens - will have to try that one out soon.
yesterday I did Ole Henriksen Moment of truth 2-in-1 sugar mask folllowed by fresh rose mask to give my skin a boost of hydration due to a respiratory infection and red nose from blowing frequently. Skin was very soft and hydrated after! Now to use a ren mask and glamglow this week!
Ohhh, so sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather @jen81! Hope you feel better soon!
I love that the Ole Henriksen 2-in-1 exfoliates and nourishes at the same time, and the Fresh mask is great for hydration - definitely what the skincare doctor calls for!
