Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@Anonymous, Do you have a retailer through Ebay you trust? I've always been skeptical but I hear more and more people using it for skincare, especially Asian skincare.

I'm also skeptical @Aaliaa. The ebay ones I've purchased from don't stock this eye mask. I may get it from yesstyle - have some items I was planning on purchasing from that site already so we shall see... 😉

I've used YesStyle twice last year and been really happy with them. Yes, sometimes packages can take some time, but that is just based on how long it takes to pass customs.

@HeyMelissaa You've used some great products! Will definitely look for the eye masks because under eye circles has always been a problem. By the way, love your hair!! It looks so good on you!

I'm already behind!! I've been basically out of commission with a migraine this year. Which also means I'm super dehydrated. Here I am with my Dr Jart Hydration mask.

I'm sorry to hear about the migraine @ChristineR07! Hopefully you'll feel all better after relaxing with your sheet mask on!

And, Dr. Jart+ is such an amazing brand! Rubber mask (and mounding mask) have been on my list to-try for the longest but I never got around buying them. Maybe because the packaging of the blown-up doll(?) slightly creeps me out. HAHA I would love to hear your thoughts on the mask!

@juliehnguyen I do not disagree with you that the packaging is off putting. I love the feel of the mask. I feel that all masks should be in two pieces. And the rubber masks may be my new favorite thing. It stayed in place and felt super secure. I wish I felt it was more hydrating but I maintain that this wasn’t a super fair test due to my extreme dehydration. It’s one of the few masks that I feel is worth that second shot at making a first impression, which is already impressive for me given the multitude of masks out there.

I agree that all masks need to two pieces @ChristineR07! It just fits much better! Also, if you live near a Daiso, I'd recommend picking up a silicone mask cover. They really help secure masks in place and retains moisture better. 

Hearing you say such good things about the mask really sparks my interest! I guess there goes my beauty no-buy yet again. At least I'll know my dehydrated skin will be happy and hydrated!

@juliehnguyen I am also pleased to announce that my skin didn't have any reaction to it.  And it does feel much softer this morning (although, I did end up using the Dr Jart+ in combination with hyaluronic acid and the Laneige sleeping mask so it had help).  But at least I feel confident in the fact that I can use this mask going forward.

@ChristineR07 ohh no my no-buy promise is really in danger now! HAHA I've been waiting for Sephora to email the Rouge monthly gift promo so I can allot that day to be my only day of beauty buy for the month (I'm tightening my beauty spending this year). 

Woah 2 masks in one night! That is some next level hydration love! The Laneige Sleeping Mask is amazing! And, this sounds like the Dr. Jart+ mask did not leave a sticky feeling after use. Based on your thoughts, this mask really ticks off all the qualification I am looking for in a mask!

@ChristineR07 So sorry about the migraine! All I can say is they suck!!! I've finally have mine under control with medication. I have this mask and haven't got to use it. You'll have to let me know if you liked it. Stay well!

@yankeefaithful It felt really nice on. I all say I was slightly surprised at the lack of immediate hydration I expected to feel after having it on. I put that down to just how extraordinarily dehydrated my skin was when I started. I put some hyaluronic acid and the Laneige sleeping mask on and my skin has just absorbed it all. I’m contemplating getting up and putting another thin layer on before actually sleeping. I’m going to have to try it again some other time to give it a fair shot.

I’m glad to hear your migraines are under control. They can’t seem to get a handle on mine yet.

@ChristineR07 Thanks for the info. I'll try to let you know how it does for me. It's been so cold here, that my usual oily skin is actually a bit dry. Hopefully this will help.
