Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

Iโ€™ve been thinking about purchasing a small mini fridge to keep some of my skincare products and tools in, but Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s worth the hype. Iโ€™m also worried it could affect the integrity of some of my beauty products. Does anyone store their products in the fridge and if so what products are safe to store in cooler temps?

Re: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

@mpershallI have one and for me, itโ€™s about having close access to products that I 1) would like chilled, like eye masks or summery sheet masks/aloe-cooling gel masks and 2) organic products that donโ€™t necessarily need refrigeration but have added longevity if I do.88AAA3B7-3E40-4F19-9434-1DFB0FC145C7.jpegThanks for thr

This is the inside part about 2 weeks ago, not including the door. Due to the size, itโ€™s a constant rotation of products that I want accessible. Retinol, Vita C masks, natural/organic and anything else that sounds good chilled fits in here nicely.

Whether or not itโ€™s worth the hype is up to you, as well as what you intend to use it for. It adds to my masking experience which makes it more enjoyable. It makes the products I want to last longer, last longer. For me, it was well worth it. Thanks for the tag @ShortErica ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Tagging @eshoe as another frig owner. I think she likes it @mpershall. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

My moisturizers, night creams, eye creams and essences are all kept in a box in a regular fridge. Whether it is beneficial Ive no idea, I just prefer to use them chilled, and feel like I waste less that way too.

RE: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

I canโ€™t speak to directly purchasing a mini fridge for skincare/makeup only..but I do often use my normal fridge for masks, sheet masks, face mists, etc. I typically will refrigerate products as I go through splurts of using them. Skincare products work so much better on my skin when they are cool. Helps reduce puffiness and redness. ๐Ÿ™‚

RE: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

Thank you! I have a lot of redness/rosacea so I definitely think my skin would love some cool products

Re: RE: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

@mpershall Don't have a special refrigerator, but when my skin is flared a personal fan helps.

Some products/ingredients shouldn't be kept cool, so check with the brand first.

Re: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

@mpershall I can't answer this, but I believe that @itsfi has a skincare fridge so I'm tagging her.

Thanks so much for the tag @sprocketta

@mpershall, Iโ€™ve had my mini fridge for almost 2 years now. I love it. โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ I primarily use it for my essences, facial mists, facial tools like my gua sha and jade roller, sheet masks, and under eye gel patches.  If you have questions let me know!

Thank you for responding! Iโ€™m gonna have to give it a try๐Ÿฅฐ

Re: RE: Re: Makeup mini fridge... worth the hype?

@mpershall, let us know how you like it.

Before I purchased my mini fridge, I would keep some beauty products in the regular fridge but I would often forget that I had a sheet mask or eye cream, etc. in there (well, at least until I opened the fridge for something - ha!) My mini fridge sits on a shelf in the bathroom which makes it very accessible when Iโ€™m going through my skincare or masking routines ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
