Start with The Ordinary The No-Brainer Setor this brand. This is the cheapest and budget friendly brand. I’m a big fan of Caudalie and buy products one at a time. By the time you bought have face wash, toner, essence, serum, moisturizer and eye cream you have to dish out few hundred dollars. Start with the ordinary.

@Marie320  Since you're just starting out, I'd start very basically- a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Other items can wait until you have that routine set. Do you have a specific budget in mind? The other posters recommended a couple of good budget-friendly lines available at Sephora. I've also found a lot of great, affordable Korean skincare lines that might be an option as well.
