Kids at Sephora

Esthetician here, There are kids roaming around Sephora and Ulta stores buying anti aging products and products they don't need. See, kids skin barriers are developing and they are very delicate so you need to buy products that are safe. If your child goes to Sephora or Ulta, make sure to see what ingredients there are in it. Things to avoid:

- AHAs, LHAs, BHAs (BHAs can be used if your child has some or a lot of acne)

- Retinols, Retinoids, Vitamin Cs

- High amounts of fragrance

Now here are some of the brands that kids like to find

- Drunk Elephant

- Glow Recipe

- Tower 28

- Bubble

- CeraVe

- Byoma

There is more that's just what I remember

Now some products from these brands are actually fine for your child if they are interested in skincare and that's not a bad thing! Here are popular products that are OKAY for your child:

Cleansers & Makeup Removers

- Glow Recipe Avocado Cleanser

- Glow Recipe Papaya Cleansing Balm

- Drunk Elephant micellar water

- Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser

- Drunk Elephant miracle butter

- Bubble Fresh Start Cleanser

- Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser

- Byoma oil cleanser

- CeraVe Foaming Facial cleanser (and all of CeraVe's cleansers)

Toners & Serums

- Glow Recipe watermelon glow toner (only if acne)

- Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum

- Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Serum

- Glow Recipe dew & hue drops (use sparingly)

- Drunk Elephant B- Hydra Serum

- Bubble Super Clear Serum (only if acne)

- Bubble Water Slide serum

- Byoma Hydrating Serum

- Byoma Clarifying Serum

- CeraVe Hydrating Serum

Moisturizers & Sunscreens

- Glow Recipe watermelon glow moisturizer

- Glow Recipe Plum Plump Moisturizer

- Glow Recipe watermelon Sunscreen (12 and up)

- Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream

- All 3 of Bubble's moisturizers (I prefer you buy Cloud Surf if you don't know your child's skin type)

- All CeraVe moisturizing creams and lotions (In blue packaging)

- Byoma Rich Cream

- Byoma Gel Cream

- Drunk Elephant sunscreens

- Both of the CeraVe sunscreens

- Bubble Solar Mate and tinted version

Eye Creams & Masks

Your child does not need these items.

Also most lip products are okay!

Hope this helps! 🌸💗

Re: Kids at Sephora

As a 34F I would like to say that adults hating on kids is just disgusting in my opinion there is no reason to say that abt them you are not their parent it is not your decision pls mind your business next time adults should not hate or hate on children its disgusting!

keep this in mind next time you would like to hate!

You have a good day

Re: Kids at Sephora

I agree I think it’s the parents place to step in and say something about what there using on there skin not some random person saying there opinion even if it’s right just mind your business and don’t worry about kids that arnt your children

Re: Kids at Sephora

@RoseAnders I'm trying to find the best for children. I'm not trying to hate at all! It's great that kids are interested in skincare it's just that they buy stuff they don't need and trash the testers.

Re: Kids at Sephora

I’ve had seen kids there before and it’s not pretty… I got pushed around when I was trying to buy some drunk elephant hydration serum and I got pushed around and didn’t get the serum

Re: Kids at Sephora

@Amreetbahia Thank you for posting this. I have 2 kiddos and would never buy them expensive skincare or into the hype. I keep it simple with Aveeno, Cetaphil and Cerave.

Re: Kids at Sephora

@SportyGirly125 No problem! It's great you keep your children's skincare simple. Make sure to watch what your child watch on YouTube and social media and limit their time. If somehow they do get interested in skincare that's viral, feel free to come back to this post and make sure to read the ingredients list. Just to sum it up, stay away from retinol, Retinoids, Vitamin Cs, PHAs, BHAs, LHAs.

Re: Kids at Sephora

@Amreetbahia oh yes I already know about those things.
