Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

Just A Quick Question, Is drunk Elephant Worth It? Because I am young, I donโ€™t make that much money, so is it worth it to spend the money? Will it improve my skin? Is there any other brands that you think is better?

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

I think it is very important to have a good skincare routine at any age necessary if itโ€™s needed. Iโ€™d say if your not 18+ you have no need for drunk elephant, they contain many peptides and retinoids for older people. Other alternatives could include glow recipe (pricey but works for me), the ordinary, The inkey list, cerave, Paulaโ€™s voice, aveeno or other generic skincare would all be great things to start with or try

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

Hey gurlll!

So I would say maybe. Why maybe? Okay so thereโ€™s some products that have lots of hype but arenโ€™t as good as another ones that are for real great, for example I love the  Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL  , the Drunk Elephant Protiniโ„ข Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL  and the Drunk Elephant Trunk 7.0 is definitely worth it, as well as their night serum.
Hope this helps, have a great day ๐Ÿซถ

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

I will answer this based off my own experiences. I have tried everything product fromDrunk Elephant but also everything in between from different brands. I am a fan of Drunk Elephant skincare they have lots of great products that work really well if used correctly. I say correctly because some

of their products are strong and if your skin is not used to such a high percentage of acids if retinol it can cause irritation. My favorite serums

of theirs are TLC Framboos, A-Passioni Retinol

Serum, B-Hydra.
The B-Hydra is just a hydrating serum though. With their creams, I love Protini itโ€™s a really great moisturizer for anytime. I am

partial to LaLa itโ€™s not my favorite. So in my experience yes these products work and work well. Now can you find cheaper alternatives? Of course! Thereโ€™s tons of exfoliating serums ranging anywhere frkm

$6 to hundreds of dollars that can help just like the Framboos serum. Iโ€™ve used Good Molecules exfoliating serum which is $6 I think and it worked really well. Theres

also plenty of retinol serums out there. If you are

young and just looking to maintain your skin health then I would say shop around and try some less expensive products before making the investment into Drunk Elephant products.

In the past few years thereโ€™s been so many great brands making really good skincare products accessible to everyone without shelling out hundreds of dollars.

@SlayestQueen   What improvements do you want for your skin? What do you want skincare products to do for you?

Iโ€™ve noticed many young folks asking recently about Drunk Elephant, Glow Recipe, and other Sephora-sold brands. I assume those brands are trending on TikTok? For skincare, itโ€™s important to start by figuring out what your skin really needs, not what everyone else is using. We donโ€™t all have the same skin issues or skincare goals. ๐Ÿ™‚ I donโ€™t know how young you are, but most people who havenโ€™t hit puberty donโ€™t need more than a non-drying cleanser, a moisturizer, and a daytime sunscreen. (Heck, your sunscreen can even double as a daytime moisturizer.)

@SportyGirly125 mentioned some great brands for young folks. Theyโ€™re also great for us older folks. Iโ€™m in my 50s and my skincare routine includes a mix of brands and price points, including CeraVe, Vanicream, and Aveeno. Price =/= quality. Drunk Elephant is, in my opinion, overpriced for anyone, but especially for people in their teens and younger. The brandโ€™s not bad. They have some good products. But not everyone needs those products, and some of them can be replaced with less expensive options.

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

@WinglessOne  I think it more has something to do with that there was a recent surge in gratis of these items to force them to trend.  They were Sephoria items and there were a lot of younger influencers who attended who received them in their bags.  They then posted videos using them and a lot of young watchers got the idea they needed them to be like their favourite influencer and asked for them for Christmas.

@SlayestQueen  DE is a decent brand but there are plenty of brands with similar ingredients that will be equally as effective.  Younger skin does not need all the active ingredients older skin does and definitely not in the concentrations that DE contains.  DE is great for older already damaged skin with slower cellular turnover.
A gentle moisturizer contianing glycerin and/or hyaluronic acid and a skin oil if your skin is dry as well as a sunscreen are wonderful.
honestly for younger skin I would suggest brands like Laneige, Etude House, Tony Moly, and Biore.  cereve is also quite nice.
Because you are young you have the opportunity to start religiously wearing sunscreen if you donโ€™t already to prevent fine lines and wrinkles.  The sun is the number one most harmful thing for your skin and religious sunscreen use will help you go longer without harsh active ingredients a lot of older skin requires to look good.

What is your skin condition like?  Is your skin dry or oily? or both?  Is it in need of healing of sun damage or of acne?  Is it inflamed in any way?  i

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

@SlayestQueen @At your age you do not need to be spending a lot of money on skincare. I was using a toner if needed, moisturizer and sunscreen. Brands like Aveeno, Cetaphil and Cerave are great to start with and affordable.

Re: Is Drunk Elephant Worth It?

@SlayestQueen  I will have to agree with @SportyGirly125  you can get equal results  from  lower cost brands like the ones Sporty mentioned .. for age defying skin care try the iconic brands like Loreal Paris or Roc  or No7 or my personal favorite  Olay for quality and price point ..  or any  drugstore / or  target/walmart.
