I need help with removing freckles or lightening them

My skin is great, except for the summer time. I swear a lot and I always forget to wear sunscreen. Therefore, I get freckles and now I'm at a point where I have multiple on both of my cheeks. Will they eventually go away if I start wearing sunscreen or is there a way to naturally remove them? My skin gets tan very easily and gets irritated even if I rub it a little. I personally don't think I look good with em either.
