I am looking for a good skin care regimen for dry skin that is both acne and eczema prone

I am 23 and looking for a good skin care regimen for dry/sensitive skin that is both acne and eczema prone. I feel like I have tried so many things and nothing has been able to address all my skins picky needs, products seem to aid one problem and exacerbate another. I would really appreciate any suggestions, thanks in advance!

I have the same concerns as you do. I have been using my regime for a few months and am getting great results.

For a wash I use Dermalogica's dermal clay cleanser. My acne-prone skin is sensitive and most acne washes irritate and make me break out more! This cleanser targets a big cause of acne, the oil. It's cooling and creamy an feels wonderful. I've noticed the reduction of the oil in my skin and the overall appearance is getting better. The kaolin clay in the cleanser is negatively charged so it draws out impurities. For a toner I use Caudalie's beauty elixir. This toner tightens my pores and gives the skin a boost of radiance. It contains the perfect amount of oils to help balance the skin after washing, without leaving a greasy feel at all. This helps stop overproduction of oil to clog my pores and cause acne. It's cooling as well for it contains mint extracts. For my serum I use M.D. wexler's pore refining serum. My issue with my acne-prone skin is that my pores are enlarged. This serum in conjunction with my toner yields amazing results. My pores are tightened and my acne scars are continually fading. It also evens out my skin. The serum smooths evenly across my skin and soaks in nicely without leaving any residue behind. My skin remains matte. This makes my skin baby soft as well. For a moisturizer I use H2O+ face oasis ultra hydrator. This water-based cream isn't specifically targeted for anything, just a great moisturizer. Soaks right in and leaves no residue. Smells amazing and provides lasting hydration.

For night I use the same products except instead of the M.D. wexler serum I use H2O+ overnight perfecting peel. It contains glycolic and salicylic acids to resurface my skin and treat my acne. This also helps with my scarring and reduces redness. For my moisturizer I use H2O+ night oasis oxygenating rejuvenator. This leaves my skin a little sticky, but it's for night time so it's not a big deal. The results in the morning and pleasing. My skin looks refreshed and glowing.

I hope you find a good regime that works for you!

I have sensitive skin too and the best thing to do is to use as little product as possible.  When you wakeup in the morning wash your face with a gentle cleanser(I use Cetaphil) and then use a light moisturizer, I use Olay Daily Moisturizer for sensitive skin, it is really light and has SPF 15.  Try to use as little makeup as possible, I know it's hard when you want to cover up acne but it's what's best for your skin.  Take off your makeup in the shower, the steam opens your pores and allows you to get a deep clean, I use Cetaphil to take my makeup off too.  After I take a shower I use a deep moisturizing mask that I make myself, it's really easy.  You just mix honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg.  The honey acts as a moisturizer, the cinnamon helps with acne and the nutmeg exfoliates your skin.  Leave the mask on for about 30 minutes and rinse it off with hot water using circular motions because this lets the nutmeg exfoliate.  I then use an anti-aging moisturizer by Garnier, it feels amazing on  your skin!  Also, make sure to drink lots of water during the day!  I hope this helps!

I would use an acne-fighting product that is not going to aggrivate your dry skin.  Once such product is Dr. Brandt Skincare Blemishes No More Intensolution which is an award-winning, maximum-strength, alcohol-free clarifying treatment that banishes breakouts without over-drying.  This all-in-one intensive treatment is Dr. Brandt's best-selling solution for breakouts, and has been deemed Self Magazine's "Best Acne Treatment" and Star Magazine's "Best Spot Treatment" for 2010.  Dr. Brandt's proprietary ACTIVE IMPURITY SHIELDยฎ clears blemishes and helps prevent future breakouts.  A time-released cooling agent leaves your skin soft and refreshed, not dry.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes

Besides using the above acne-fighting product, I would use a gentle cleanser that will thoroughly cleanse your skin without overdrying it.  I personally love Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser which is an all natural cleanser that is suitable for all skin types and you can read all about it here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12978&categoryId=B70

I hope this helps you. ๐Ÿ™‚
