Re: HELP! Can I use these products together?

@ahews I would probably not use them together as they both serve a very similar function (AHA/BHA/chemical exfoliation). While it wouldn't be unsafe, I don't think your skin would be too happy, especially if you're just starting to use AHA/BHA's to begin with. I'd start with using just one for a few weeks and see how your skin reacts. Layering on too many of the same category of skincare can irritate your skin (redness, random dryness, breakouts) and cause the exact opposite of what you're going for. Neither of these products are strong enough to actually burn your skin if you use them together, but over-exfoliation does happen!

And as @skcfan mentioned, you definitely need to wear sunscreen during the day if you incorporate AHA's into your routine. Your skin will be extra sensitive and prone to sunburn!

Re: HELP! Can I use these products together?

Hi @ahews,

Yes, you can use them together. However, it might take your skin a while to get used to acids. I would not recommend starting both at the same time. I would start one, and give my skin a few weeks to get used to the first before starting the other.

Also, when using products with AHAs in them, you MUST wear sunscreen everyday. AHAs make your skin more sensitive to the sun, and the effect can last for a week or so after using them.
