Drunk Elephant Safe?

Hi! I have been using DE for a week now and was wondering if anyone’s skin has experienced purging or irritation? The only active I have been using is the new Protini serum but only once a week so far… is this even safe for sensitive skin/rosacea/acne prone skin?

All experiences and opinions are welcome!

Re: Drunk Elephant Safe?

Drunk Elephant is absolutely safe in the general sense, @Jelly153 otherwise Sephora and other retailers wouldn't be able to sell it. Now whether or not certain products and ingredients agree with your own specific skin is another story. The resurfacing serum contains lactic acid which can absolutely cause purging. But if you started several new products at once, it could also just be a negative reaction to one or more items. Best practice is to start new products one at a time and to wait a good couple of weeks before starting the next new product so that you can check for negative reactions as they appear. Your best bet right now may be to stop everything and give your skin a chance to heal before starting over, more slowly.
