Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful.
*Age - 40
Skin type - oily/combination
Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)*
01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used
1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love)
2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love)
3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample)
4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing)
5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like)
6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer)
I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive.
General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.
I'm happy this post got pointed to! I tried to do the same, but the site wouldn't let me log in 😞 wonky indeed!
This thread really is a wealth of information.
Thanks @darkiceis, didn't see this when I checked if there was something similar.
@Aaliaa You're welcome 🙂 Bic has been really wonky, one day it will work as it should. It's a really great thread with lots of great information and variety of products.
Did you have the May Coop Raw Sauce in your photo?

I'm really into my current oils/serums, but I'm looking for a moisturizer that is actually moisturizing but makes my skin glow a bit more!! I love the moisture or the Shiseido one, but there's just a lack of glow.
early 20s in a humidish climate. I have dry skin and monthly breakouts
I try to pick products that are more affordable yet still works just as well as the expensive kinds
AM:
Cleanse- Fresh Soy Cleanser
Tone/Exfoliate: Son & Park Beauty Water with a cotton pad
Moisturizer: L'occitane Light Comforting Cream
Sunscreen: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 70
PM:
Makeup remover: Pond's Cold Cream for heavier makeup days
Cleanse: Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
Exfoliate: Lush Smuggler's Soul facial scrub
Tone: Son & Park Beauty Water
Mask depends on how my face is feeling:
- super dry: Lush Oatifix
- drier: sheet masks
- dry: Fresh Rose face mask
- rough and dry: Lush The Sacred Truth
- saggy: Lush Ayesha
- oily: Freeman's Avocado Oatmeal Mask
- dull: Philosophy Microdelivery Peel or Exfolikate
Serum: TO Vitamin C 23% and HA Factors
Moisturizer depends:
- dry: Laniege Water Bank
- normal: L'Occitane Light Comforting Cream
- dull: Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Overnight
Sleeping Mask: Laniege Sleeping Mask (when my face feels very dry)
Lip Mask: Laniege Lip Mask or Bite Agave Lip Mask
I am looking for an eye cream to add to my routine for dark circles and sunken eye bags! Also am looking for a serum/cream to lighten freckles and get rid of hyperpigmentation. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with my routine.
I’ve never tried any lush masks. What are they like? Do they have a short shelf life? @Jessyuan
I love lush masks! They come in a wide range for different skin types, so the key is to find the right one or else the masks don't seem that good. They have about a 2-3wk shelf life, but as long as you keep it in the fridge it can stay up to 2 months and still be fine (at least in my experience)
Age - 26
Skin type - normal with some dry patches (cheeks, mouth)
Current skin condition - pretty happy and clear but dull
Morning
1. Cleanse - philosophy purity
Optional sport treatment - Clinique acne solutions clinical clearing gel
2. Serum - Murad advance acne & wrinkle reducer
3. Eye cream - Origins ginzing
4. Moisturize - Clinique moisture surge
5. Bonus - while drinking coffee, pre-makeup, I’ll use my Nurse Jamie face roller to depuff
Night
1. Makeup removal - Clinique take the day off eye makeup remover & Aveeno makeup wipe
2. Cleanse - Philosophy purity
Optional sport treatment - Clinique acne solutions clinical clearing gel
3. Serum - either Murad advance acne & wrinkle reducer or Sunday Riley good genes (3x a week)
4. Eye cream - Origins ginzing
5. Moisturize - Clinique moisture surge
My Origins ginzing eye cream is almost empty, so I’m contemplating trying a new one. I’ve gone through two already and I’m just kind of bored by it. Also looking at adding in a brightening serum after my Murad dies - I’ve gone through at least 5 or 6 if those and I feel like my acne is really nonexistent these days thanks to the Clinique spot treatment.
Skin type: dehydrated, combo/oily, large pores, uneven skin tone with dark spots, sensitive and acne prone
Age: 41
Skin tone: medium
AM
Pre-Shower: rub jojoba oil on face (I recently started doing this and it really helps my skin from getting more dehydrated as I like to take warm/hot showers)
In-Shower: last step before getting out I cleanse my face with Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser.
1. Toner - Herbivore's Jasmine Green Tea - I absolutely love this! I use 2 sprays onto the palms of my hands and then I pat onto my skin and let it dry. This has helped with balancing my skin's oil.
2. Serum #1 - Currently testing out Caudalie's Premier Cru Serum (my usual is Caudalie VineActiv Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum (1 pum
3. Serum #2 - Peter Thomas Roth's Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum OR Trader Joe's Moisture Boost Serum
4. Eye Cream - Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior and top it off with Caudalie VineActiv Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream
5. Moisturizer - Peter Thomas Roth's Water Drench Cloud Cream. Pearl size amount and pat into skin. This is very hydratring/moisturizing without being greasy/oily.
6. SPF - IT Cosmetics CC Cream in medium tan
PM
1.Melt makeup - with 100% jojoba oil (from Trade Joe's). I massage the oil on my skin. If I have mascara on, I use L'Oreal's Eye makeup remover first and then the oil for the rest of my makeup.
2. Cleanser - Wash it all off with La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser for normal/oily skin. This leaves my skin clean without it being dry.
3. Toner - Thayer's Witch Hazer in Rose Petal on a pad to remove any remains of makeup along their hair line but I also tone my skin with it.
* Occasionally after toning, I use Caudalie's Brightening Essence, but when I do this, I then follow it with Caudalie's Radiance serum and then 3 drops of jojoba oil. That would conclude the routine for the night.
4. Serum #1 - testing out Caudalie Premier Cru Serum
5. Serum #2 - Algenist's Genius Liquid Collagen. I absolutely love this! I only use 3 drops for my entire face and let it absorb.
6. Serum #3 - Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Serum.
7. Facial Oil - Caudalie's Detox Oil (3 drops)
8. Eye Cream -Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior and top it off with Caudalie VineActiv Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream
9. Lip Care - I've been using Peter Thomas Roth's UnWrinkle Lip Treatment and it seems to work immediately but I don't think the results are long lasting. I then follow it up with Laniege's Lip Mask. This mask is very hydrating.
10. Eyelash care - Revilatash on my lashes and eyebrows.
Dark spot treatment:
I've been using Sunday Riley Good Genes as a spot treatment about every other day. It seems to be working.
Masks:
I use a mask 1-2 nights per week. On a mask night I start with a clean and toned face and then I use one of the following: Philosophy Pore Estractor or Peter Thonas Roth's Sulfur Mask or Glamglow's Clearing Treatment. After the first mask, I then follow it up with one of the following: Glamglow's ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment or Fresh's Rose Mask or Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. After the masks, I will resume my regular PM routine.

I use 100% tea tree oil to spot treat any breakouts at night.

I'm mid-30s and live in a temperate/humid climate. I (finally) have normal-to-dry skin with only rare breakouts. My current routine:

Essence: Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner (7-skin method)
(Mask, if doing a wash-off or peel-off mask)
Serum: The Ordinary hyaluronic acid (or sheet mask) (or Ole Henriksen Night Transformation Gel)
Eye: Korres Black Pine Super Eye Serum
Moisturizer: DDG Ferulic + Retinol Moisturizer (or occasionally It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream for extra moisture)
I really like the Volition Silt Gelée mask and Leaders or Sephora sheet masks. I'm also currently using the Shiseido Benefiance eye masks 1-2x a week, which are surprisingly effective. I'm using the Supergoop! CC cream instead of foundation these days so my sun protection is in that... otherwise I would have a separate sunscreen in the AM.
How do you like that essence? I've been thinking about incorporating an essence into my routine but most of them are so darn expensive and I don't know of any affordable ones.
@xamalia I *really* like it... @Anonymous has turned a few of us on to it now. And it's only $15-20 a bottle! You can find it on Amazon but OhLolly is an authorized seller.
