Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful.
*Age - 40
Skin type - oily/combination
Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)*
01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used
1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love)
2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love)
3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample)
4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing)
5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like)
6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer)
I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive.
General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.
njattana,
I wouldn't worry about having too few steps. If it suits your skin and helps keep it healthy....you don't have to change anything.
I agree with GC. Everyone's skin is diff and they all have different needs.
Age: 45+
Skin: Normal to Dry, more on the dry side recently
Current condition: skin is pretty good, seeing some hormonal changes with texture.
AM Routine:
PM Routine:
Once a week use a mask.
Generally I've been pretty happy with my skin since I've put more effort into a routine. Using a cleansing water has helped get all the gunk off. I have also started a much healthier lifestyle about 6 months ago so I eat a lot of vegetables, lean protein and drink plenty of water. I exercise a minimum of 4 days a week. It has made a positive difference in my skin.
Age-31
Skin Type-Dry & Sensitive

Would you mind giving me more information on the Philosophy Puirty cleanser? Dos it actually remove all eye makeup? Thanks!
I use the VS wipes for makeup removal actually
I use the purity cleanser on days when I wear foundation or do a clay mask. For me it does a great job of removing all makeup, including eye makeup. I also use it after certain masks to ensure there is no residue. At first, I wasn't crazy about the purity cleanser, but now I enjoy it. Definitely worth trying.
I was able to pick a small one up in a Sephora favorites kit. Just haven't tried it yet. I'm still seen what works for my skin
Age- early 40's
skin type- normal/dry and sensitive with mild rosacea
1/17 PM- (pm routine varies quite a bit more than in the morning)
ko gen do spa water
tatcha cleansing oil
verso retinol oil serum
la prairie white caviar illuminating eye cream
DDG retinol ferulic neck serum
amore pacific time response cream
1/18 am
l'occitane immortelle precious cleansing foam
Sisley black rose oil
kaplan md SPF 30 moisturizing serum ( I am experimenting with SPF 30 in the winter when I won't be outside much, otherwise it is 50+ every day)
Try it! It has a very light texture and makes my skin feel like velvet. I also love the smell. I just bought my second bottle which is about the highest praise I can give.
I think Clarins blue lotus is pretty good as well and it is about $60. I think at your age you should be able to get great results at lower price points but don't let your sample go to waste 😉
L4S - How do you like Verso? Have yo utried any other products from that line?
It's the first one I have tried. I have only been using it a couple of weeks so not sure how well it works but I haven't had any adverse reaction using 3 times a week. My skin likes retinol in an oil more than other formulations.
I love the packaging. It comes in 4 small glass vials with a Bakelite case that looks like a perfume atomizer.
Age - 34
Skin type - oily/combination
Current skin condition - pretty dehydrated (yesterday we had a cold weather warning, and I think today too, so between weather and indoor heating 😞 )
01/18/16 - AM skincare
1. Rinse with water in the shower
2. Toner (varies between Clinique or NUDE, depending on skin conditions; today Clinique)
3. Farmacy Eye Dew eye cream
4. Farmacy Root Cell something serum
5. Laura Mercier Rose Infusion oil
6. Dotted some Eradikate on a spot that popped up on my forehead overnight*
7. Clinique Moisture Surge Intense on dry neck area*
Steps with a * are things I don't usually do daily. My neck is still recovering from an allergic reaction, so I'm really having to pile on the extra moisture for that.
Throughout the day (especially during winter) I'll spritz my face with a hydrating spray. Right now it's the Herbivore Coconut Hibiscus one.
Writing this out I realized I forgot my Raw Sauce today. Oops!

I also take care of my hands/cuticles and KP on my arms before bed, foot lotion if I need it, etc.
1-4x a month I try to do a mask treatment, generally this is in conjunction with a relaxing bath.
In the summer since it's so humid here I find I need to exfoliate more frequently.
What kind of sunscreen/moisturizer are you looking for? What is your budget? Any you really haven't liked?
i have tried many so might be able to make a suggestion.
I want to like absorption and absorption rate (not feel greasy or tacky after a few minutes) and smell. SPF 30 at the lowest. To me sun protection is more important than not putting chemicals on my face/body. I will pay for something I like if it's not like $200/oz.
Most things I tried kind of fell into "meh" or burned a little which does not seem to be tied to one particular ingredient so is perhaps only some ingredient combinations or amounts. I didn't really like the Josie Maran and Tarte I liked at first but then started having a reaction to.
In queue I have Kate Somerville. I have mostly been going back and forth between Coola and Aveeno.
Sprytely, have you tried MDSolarSciences Mineral Creme? Love the stuff.

I don't believe so, and I should as I used their tinted one this past summer and quite liked it. My goal for this year is to not get so much color this summer. Hah! I was not as on top if it as I should have been even when I lived up North but now that I live in the South? Eep. Okay, good to know it's possible for me to "tan" but I'd like to not do that again. lol. The only place I've religiously used sunscreen is on my tattoos. But the stuff I use on them is not something I want on my face. Very sticky.
