What is a good cleanser and moisturizer for dry skin? I don't use anything now but really should. Thanks!

@cheetie, I have dry, sensitive skin and use the double cleanse method at night. For an oil-based cleanser, you might consider either Tatcha One Step Camellia Oil or Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. For water-based cleanser (which I use for a second cleanse) I highly recommend Neogen Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser. When I first tried this, I was nervous that a foam cleanser would be too stripping on my dry skin and would make it even more dry. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it not only cleansed my skin, but left it smooth, feeling soft and moisturized - I've not experienced any dryness from it. I'm almost done with the bottle and will be repurchasing when I am finished.

As for moisturizers, Belif Moisturizing Bomb has a gel-cream like texture; it's lightweight but very hydrating at the same time. If your skin is very dry, I'd recommend Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream - it's heavier in texture than the Belif moisturizer and I reach for the Dr. Jart+ cream in the winter when my skin is more susceptible to dryness.

I've also found sleeping masks to be great for dry skin - my skin really likes the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. I pat on a thin layer over my moisturizer as the last step in my nighttime skincare routine and wake up to skin that is soft, looks fresh and awake and feels hydrated.

For many of these products, Sephora carries travel size / mini's of them, either individually or as a part of a kit. You can also visit a store and ask for samples to test out which ones work best with your skin.
