Best all-over body moisturizer?

I need help choosing a good all-over moisturizer to use on my dry skin. I would prefer something that isn’t greasy and absorbs without me feeling I’m wearing a thick coating of it. I’ve narrowed it down to three:

- Hempz Age-Defying Hebal Body Moisturizer

- Ahava Mineral Body Lotion

- Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

I really can’t decide which would be best for all-over daily moisture. Anything that helps firm and tone my skin is a plus.

i love sol de janeiro, but being the type who applies lotion everyday, i find it expensive. i’m a die hard fan of everything that’s palmer’s. my go to is the palmer’s coconut hydrate both for face and body!! 🤎 using both the oil and lotion together has dramatically improved the scars i’ve had for most of my life, including stretch marks! the scent is a bonus 🙌🏽🤎

I like all of them but Sol De janeiro make my body hair flake up and feels werid

I would defendly prefer Hempts for you lotion rules.

They don’t sell it at Sephora, unfortunately, but I have VERY dry skin and the only thing I’ve found that keeps my legs flake-free in the winter is Alpha Skin Care renewal body lotion. Also is a miracle worker on “chicken skin” spots.

I truly love the brazilian bum bum cream! I have repurchased it over and over again. It feels moisturizing but not over powering and keeps the skin feeling smooth. It does have a tiny shimmer to it, so if you mind that, then this wouldn't be for you. It smells like a beach and keeps my body feeling moisturized throughout the day.

I used to be an Aveeno girl for years, but my skin had become increasingly dry during long, cold winters. It got to the point that I was having to apply Aveeno 2-3 times per day. Then I discovered Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and life has never been the same since. This cream smells amazing, yes, but more importantly it soaks into my skin rapidly and never leaves a greasy finish. Better yet, I’m now able to skip moisturizing my whole body for 2-3 days at a time — something I’ve never been able to do. Plus, I discovered last week that it makes excellent foot cream as well. (We had run out of our usual foot cream and substituted Bum Bum Cream instead.) Right now is the best time tobuy it, too, because the 3-pack currently available is the cheapest I’ve ever seen it on Sephora.

Oh and one further suggestion: If your legs are uncomfortably dry after shaving, you may want to shave with Jack Black’s Beard Lube shaving cream. I know it probably sounds odd, but that shaving cream treats my legs better than any women’s shaving product I’ve ever used. Plus, it’s not really that expensive because you don’t need a lot. I can’t recommend it enough.

I like good old Aveeno for body lotion. It absorbs wonderfully and relieves the itchy skin I always get on my legs in winter.

Agree with @Beadshopgirl! Aveeno makes some great lotions.

@meganvr Sol De Janeiro is exactly what you’re looking for. It firms, hydrates and smells utterly delicious. I own everything in the line and can’t get enough!!! My skin is abnormally dry right now. I’ve never experienced this. I still use my BumBum cream but now also use the Loccitane Almond In-Shower oil, spray oil and Shea butter body cream. I’m in love with how hydrated it makes me. It’s not the most affordable line but it works ridiculously well. I also find that it compliments the scent of the BumBum cream nicely.

skin feeling and looking amazing
