NEW!!! Got an idea for next year's challenge? Let me know! Was there a challenge you'd rather not repeat? Share below, so we can start building the 2021 schedule:
Sunday's U was for Ultru. This is the last of my catch up posts for last week (yes!!)
I used the Ultru I’m Sorry for My Skin Jelly Mask – Revitalizing late Sunday morning. We were having people over to watch the game which, for whatever reason, I thought started early afternoon, but it turned out, the game wasn’t until the early evening. I guess I got a head start on everyone as far as beer was concerned. Hahahaha! 🙂
This jelly mask claims to rejuvenate the skin. The thick jelly essence contains white willow bark, a BHA; snow lotus (anti-inflammatory); peppermint and a host of floral extracts, which makes much more sense now given that along with the scent of beer, I also picked up a fairly strong minty cool, fresh and floral scent from the mask. The mask is surprisingly thin considering the amount of jelly essence it holds. It feels cool on my skin for the entire half hour I have it on and it wears comfortably on the skin though for my face shape, I made the usual adjustments to the chin area and the corners of the eyes, nose and mouth. Once I remove the mask ,there’s a lot of serum left, but it absorbs nicely. My complexion looks livelier, refreshed and my skin feels bouncy and hydrated. Jelly masks are some of my favorite masks – they tend to wear very nicely and impart much needed hydration and moisture to the skin as well as a fresh dewiness to the complexion. I’m interested in trying the other jelly masks from the brand. The scent on this one is the biggest con for me; it leans on the stronger side compared to other sheet masks I’ve used. It didn’t bother me when I had the mask on but I could see there might be days when the scent on this one could be a little too much; those with sensitivity to fragrance will probably want to pass on this one.
@itsfi Oh, this looks like such a fun one! And as usual, I appreciate your complementary beverage in the photo. 🙂
I'm looking forward to trying out the other masks from the line; my skin responds well to jelly masks like this one. Aww thank you, @PrettyPaint! <333 Coming up with themes for masking is a bit of a creative outlet for me. It also helps me use what I have. 🙂
@itsfi I'd be willing to try this one, despite the strong scent because it sounds wonderful- plus I've never tried a beer mask before, so that needs to happen soon! 😂
I don't drink much anymore, but when I did I always made sure to start drinking just a little before company arrived - it helped loosened me up and made me feel more social by the time they got there😂
@Shosh85, if you try a beer mask, do let us know how it goes for you. For some time now, I've thought about using beer as a hair wash and as part of a DIY beer face mask but haven't actually gotten around to it. I don't drink beer very often and it takes me a while to finish a bottle so perhaps I'll try one or both of those masks the next time we host a football game viewing party - one bottle of beer for the chili; one bottle for my hair wash; and one bottle to be split between my tummy and my DIY face wash. Hahaha! 🙂
Oh, that's a helpful hack / "tips and tricks". I am going to pass that along to some friends. I tend to get quiet when I drink. I know, odd. Some folks I know feel like they loosen up a bit more and are more social, others get loud(er) and then there's me. I'm probably more social at half of glass of wine or half a bottle of beer but after one drink, I'm much less inclined to be chatty. I listen and will say a few things but I tend to be more quiet.
@itsfi oh this looks so interesting!! Never used one like this before,, I'd be open to use a beer mask 😆🍺
Oh @lmaster, I think you’d love these jelly masks. They’ll be good for the brutal winter.
I was surprised by the minty floral scent @Weetart but I do love jelly masks. Excited to try the others from the line.
These are both great masks @Weetart! Excellent choices.
Mmmm this does look like a fun and fruity session! 🙂 @Weetart
@lmaster This one looks so pretty! Too bad it wasn't anything special. It kinda seems like VS masks in general aren't too impressive. Glad it's decent enough you'd use again! 😃
