Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe  Mmm, this picture looks delicious! I love the olive bar too - I usually get artichokes and olives 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe  Each time I come back to this thread and see your photos, I get a strong urge for my favorite olives (picholine). And now I’m going to see what kind of olive gifs are out there... curiosity compels me. 😄

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Mild olive gifs, shows someone needs to create more @WinglessOne @Shosh85 😄

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica  These are great! That last one is a little sad - it makes me feel so bad for that little olive 😂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Update on the Earth therapeutics foot peeling mask gifted to me from the kind hearted @faeriegirl

Spoiler
It only took one full week for the entire peeling process to be done. I love the time frame on this peel because I've tried some that took almost a full two weeks to finish. I'd say out of all the earth therapeutic masks this is one I'd love to purchase!! It gets an A

Next M for madecassosideIMG_20200403_143818407.jpg

Spoiler
I had high hopes for this one.. That's never a good start to a review 😔 well madecassoside is derived from the plant centella, it's supposed to be an anti redness and smoothing ingredient. The mask itself was the issue, it came with two perforated "ear" looking tabs at the top,, and I couldn't tear them off, and was too lazy to cut them lol so they hung like ears, the material was more of a medium thickness, fit was decent enough. White thicker milky serum, scent was herbal. I'm just trying to understand why these ear things are even here! 🤣 After removing, my face seemed less red and a bit moisturized. Very minimal tackiness. I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase these. I'm just a no non sense kinda gal, just let me get the mask on please lol
It gets a B- for all the fuss

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yay for the foot peel and boo for the mask! Sorry it didn't live up to expectations @lmaster

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica yeah I was bummed!! But like everyone else says.. On to the next!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  Sometimes those tabs annoy me, too. I usually cut ‘em off. Sounds like you got decent results, at least. And I’m glad the foot peel worked (and quickly) for you!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@WinglessOne all the masks I've tried,,, I've never seen these,, or at least if I have, it's been quite some time. Super annoying 😆

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I’m so glad you liked the foot peel @lmaster

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@faeriegirl it's probably one of the best I've used! I really loved how it didn't last longer than a week

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  Sorry to hear they weren't what you hoped - but it sounds like you got some decent results! 👍

Every once in a while I get masks with those tabs and I've always just cut them off. I've read they are supposed to help make unfolding and placing the mask on easier. I personally just think they're annoying 😂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 I assumed that's what they were for... But it did not make it easier at all 🤣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I only used 3 masks over the 2 combined "M" and "N" weeks. My skin has taken a bit of a beating - needs hydration and moisture but luckily no blemishes because I've been slacking with skincare. So take the reviews with a grain of salt cause my skin needed a lot of TLC. But here's what I used and what I remember..

First up was the Neogen Milk Cream mask sent to me by @missjeanie

Fit was good and mask was thin and comfy. I'd give the scent level a medium and it smelled a bit like baby powder to me. The results were fine. My skin did look better but as I mentioned it needed lots of help. I think there was a slight tack but didn't take any notes for this mask so it's all memory. There wasn't any extra serum in the package that I recall which is a bit of a bummer cause I like using extra if I can. I'd say because the scent was more than my preference I'd give it a B+.

Next I tried one from Mustus that @eshoe shared with me. I know there are more than this kind and spoiler, I might but curious to try some of the others.

First off, I'm a big fan of the slimer packages. I feel like not only are they better for the environment but they make storing easier too. Hope more brands make this the standard size. There was no smell out of the package but sniffing it there was a hint of sweetness, maybe from some of the fruit ingredients but seemed mostly typical mask smell. Good fit except around the mouth but the thin material made it easily smooshable. I wore it for 20 minutes. There was no extra serum in this one either. It definitely helped add radiance to areas of my face like under my eyes. It helped a little with fine lines too. I don't remember tack but don't have notes saying no tack. I'd guess none but can't be certain. I'm curious how it would be on normally cared for skin. A- though a tweak in fit would maybe make this an A.

Another one I've seen people post about and was excited to try is this Maycoop from @Shosh85

Another pretty got fit. The mask material gave me some deja vu and I know I've used something else with this "natural" material that has the brown spots on it. Just can't remember what. It was really wet out of the package. No strong scent. I wore 20 minutes on my face, folded and wore 10 minutes on my neck. It left a slight tack that went away with lotion. My face looked fresh, nice, and brighter though this did not help with fine lines. I recall maybe @WinglessOne saying something about the serum. I looked and saw alcohol high in the list and was like ah-ha, the mask ingredients are pretty good but the serum has darn alcohol in it. There was a bit extra serum that I used on my face the next day. Enjoyable mask and I'd say A-.

Thanks to the three lovely ladies who shared these masks with me!

Bonus - my husband's nose strip for those who like that kind of stuff

And in good news - I'm finally under 250 sheet masks! I'm motivated to do my skincare and challenging myself to a brand battle this week - finally using those Leaders mask I bought last year. Can't wait to share how it goes!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica  Yay, 3 winners for you, despite one having a bit too much fragrance. And yep, I’m the one who mentioned alcohol in Raw Sauce. 🙂 I like the sheet mask more than the essence. Also, congrats on paring down your mask collection!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@WinglessOne I think my aim is 100 but in the scheme of things that's just 10, 10p pack masks which doesn't seem like a lot. 🤷‍♀️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica  Right? My LuLuLun multi-sheet packs, plus a box of 36 sheets and some single sheets, put me over 100. 🤦‍♀️ And since none of those are cica masks, I’d still need more from other brands, so... oh boy. And now that I think about one brand alone equaling 100 sheets, I really need to tally up my whole collection.

100 masks is a VERY ambitious goal. But if it helps you use more of your collection, that’s fantastic! I’m still impressed by your under-250 achievement! 🙂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Before the amazing @eshoe gifted me some mask unicorn mail I would say I had 20 or less, maybe even 10 or less masks of any type, not just sheet @WinglessOne - what kind of person was I?!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Probably a very normal person, @ShortErica 😂
