Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni

MBD sheet masks are really good ones @Shosh85. It's one of those brands that has consistently good masks. I haven't used this one but it sounds like such a good fit for dry skin and winter weather. 🙂

@itsfi  I agree, these definitely seem like they're consistently good! This is another line of mask I'd like to try all of - and it's great they're so affordable! 😃👍

@Shosh85, a few years back, MBD would put out variety packs or sampler packs of their sheet masks. I haven't seen them in a while but maybe they'll come back out with something like that again. That would be a great way to try out what the brand has to offer.

@missjeanie  I've really liked this brand so far! I've still got a few more in my stash I'm excited to try! 😃 Was the one you tried recently the first mask you you've tried from the brand?... which one was it? I'm thinking I'll buy more when I've used the ones I have, so I'm making a list 😉

The one I tried was a hyaluronic acid one that looks to be from the same line as yours here. I quite liked it. Picked it up at TJ maxx last weekend. It was the first that I can recall trying, and I’m curious if the others are all like this now! @Shosh85

Tony Moly Green Tea mask – green tea is maybe my HG ingredient when it comes to skincare. For the longest time, I hoarded all my green tea mask and then one of my friends asked me how I was gonna know which one I liked best if I never used them. She is the brains of the group. This one isn’t bad but not my favorite. The sheet is sorta a tan color, not white like the other sheet masks I’ve seen/used and it feels thicker too. Yeah, not bad but not one I’d rush out to buy.

I just saw @heartsmyface used this one this week too - we're quintuplets then! heehee! My communal mask girls all got together for a pizza and movie night for Friendsgiving and decided to all use this mask and do mani/pedi's. We thought about actually cooking a meal but were all too tired to put much effort into it and pizza sounded good. This one smells yummy and got high marks from everyone. We have different skin types - one has normal skin, one is oily, two of us are combo but I'm combo (oily T-zone and normal everywhere else) and my friend is combo (normal but dry forehead, around nose and mouth).

Your communal masking group sounds so fun @nuinui933!! It's great to be able to share a love of masking with your friends. Green tea has such good skincare benefits. Do you have any particular green tea sheet masks that your especially fond of or a favorite?

@itsfi - I think I've loved every green tea masks I've tried. Innisfrees are good but I like a lot of their masks.

@nuinui933  I don't think I've tried that creme shop mask before, but it looks like an excellent one. I love that you have a communal mask group! 🙂 Sounds like so much fun.

@nuinui933  I feel like a lot of TM masks from that line are just ok. Sometimes not feeling the pressure to buy more right away is nice too 😉😂
Glad to hear everyone liked the Creme Shop mask! That was the very first Creme Shop mask I ever tried and I still enjoy using it 😃😉

T is for Tea

Inspired by a matcha lemonade and the mask's claims of clear soothing, I reached for the Holika Holika 2-step Instantly Brewing Tea Bag Mask (Green Tea) late last week. @Shosh85 kindly gifted me the hibiscus tea version of this mask which I enjoyed so when I spotted a box at Marshalls this summer, I picked it up. It’s a cutesy concept to insert the tea bag from Step 1 into the essence and mask containing Step 2 pouch it seems like it would make a fun thing to include as an activity or in a swag bag with tea party theme. My skin felt hydrated more than anything else after using the mask. In terms of soothing, I think the Soo'Ae donkey mask I posted about earlier did a better job. Overall the mask is just okay – there are better performing green tea masks out there and of the two masks from the line I’ve tried so far (there’s 4 total), I prefer the hibiscus one. I wonder if this green tea mask might do better in the warmer months or when my skin is less tempermental from being under the weather and with the temperatures getting significantly cooler. I have a couple more of these and will plan a "do over" for this mask again in the spring and also in the summer to see if results are different.
