Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  I think you might be on to something 🤔

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@WinglessOne  I’ve never noticed the EX on those ones!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@WinglessOne  I never noticed there was an "EX" line! I'd be curious how different the ingredients are between the two versions and what makes it "EX." I've used some of the ones with alcohol and some without, and either way I just haven't been too impressed with the brand. Happy to hear this one had such nice results! 😉😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85  @ather  I’m not sure if the EX versions are older or newer, or exactly what “EX” is supposed to mean. 😄 For comparison’s sake, here’s the ingredient list of the non-EX version you can find right now at Innisfree direct:

WATER, GLYCERIN, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL, ALCOHOL, BETAINE, PUNICA GRANATUM FRUIT JUICE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, DIMETHICONE, PANTHENOL, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, PAEONIA SUFFRUTICOSA ROOT EXTRACT, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER EXTRACT, PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, XANTHAN GUM, CARBOMER, ADENOSINE, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE, DISODIUM EDTA, SODIUM PALMITOYL SARCOSINATE, FRAGRANCE, PANTOLACTONE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@WinglessOne  Interesting! Thank you! The first few things I noticed right off the bat was that the alcohol in both version are in the same position, but Cica and Sodium Hyaluronate are higher up in the non-EX version. 🤔 It would be a fun experiment to try each version of the same mask and how different the results are 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Interesting 🧐 @WinglessOne

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Today’s mask was Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask 5 oz. I always enjoy using this mask but I did find some later in the day in my nostrils and eyes. It did not annoy me but it was weird finding it there.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I really like this one too @Loretta55

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh no @Loretta55, that’s no fun. But I can totally relate! That’s such a good clay mask, though.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Loretta55  Oh no I hate when I find bits of a mask later on. Such odd places!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Loretta55  This is such a great mask, glad to hear you're enjoying it! I kind of feel like every time I do a wash-off mask I find some in my nose later 😂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Loretta55 I think that you were the one (sorry if I'm wrong on that one!) who asked me about the Sio masks.  I've used the forehead/brow one (to fit in with the targeted concerns theme) and I'm torn on it!  It surprisingly DOES provide results in seemingly tightening my forehead area and diminishing the little expression marks that are pretty prominent between my brows and I didn't really think that I'd see a difference.  However, the caveat is that the results are definitely temporary (which doesn't surprise me).  I think it's one of those masks that's nice if you have a special occasion to go to or just want to feel extra...taut?...but as with most other masks of this type, it doesn't provide any lasting effects.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ohhhhh @CookieGirl1 this looks interesting!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

SIO is on GMA Deals @CookieGirl1 @eshoe @ather @itsfi .

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh this is very interesting @CookieGirl1-I wonder how many uses you can get out of this? Is it similar to the Skyn gel patches? I feel like those could be reusable, too.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe I haven't tried the Skyn ones myself but these are supposedly able to be reused approximately 10 to 15 times. So far I am on the fifth time of trying the brow mask and it's definitely starting to lose its tackiness but the directions say to just rewet it and it should prolong the life of it.  It's been kind of fun to try even though the results are only temporary but it's definitely something that's way overpriced or was it is! Keep in mind that you're not actually paying for a mask that has any active ingredient--or really any ingredients at all – – it's literally a very thick silicone mask that pulls your forehead really taut.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The Skyn masks have a 10-15 use limit @CookieGirl1 😳 even if it’s just 5....wow. I’ve wasted SO much. I just recently learned I can re-soak tea leaves and it’s made a huge difference in my tea consumption. Who knew? Thank you so much for the tip, I am genuinely grateful!!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

lol, @eshoe, you're so funny!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CookieGirl1  I feel like those kind of results never last long enough! 😃 Even though it was temporary, I'm glad to hear you saw some great results!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Definitely fun to at least try, @Shosh85.  It's kind of cool that it's actually reusable (although obviously the stickiness fades gradually) so at least it's not literally a one-time thing!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CookieGirl1 thanks for reviewing ! That’s very interesting !
