Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Honestly @lmaster, it was far better to confirm it this way rather than to find out with something that has a higher percentage of aloe.  The itching subsided a lot after washing it off and putting on the Cicapair Tiger Grass cream.  Thankfully there was absolutely no burning sensation & the redness subsided throughout the day.  All in all it wasn't that bad to be honest & I really do feel like I should have known better.  Truth be told, I am counting my blessings with this one and now I know to steer clear of aloe.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Sounds like a blessing for sure!! @mrsmouse

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Last week I also did E for Egg Cream Mask from @Loretta55 but I'm a little delayed on posting

My face

Spoiler
20200201_083107.jpg

The mask fit well and I accidentally had it on much past the recommended time of 10-20 minutes. I think it was around 35. It did pop off the chin some. My skin looked good and there was no tack. There was a little extra serum I used for my neck but not much. The one thing I didn't like was the scent. It was quite floral. I was surprised considering fragrance is the last ingredient. It has a lot of good ingredients high on the list. It's the type of mask I'd use again but wouldn't seek out to buy. I'd give it an A- because the results and wear time were nice but the scent isn't my thing. Thanks @Loretta55 for sending this along with all the other amazing goodies!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica  I donโ€™t remember the scent when I used my expired one. And Iโ€™m not a fan of floral on my face. But glad results were good!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Now I'm curious if I'm just the odd one smelling floral @ather ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica  me too. I know Sephora doesnโ€™t carry them anymore. So if I see one Iโ€™ll have to pick it up and try again.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica  I'm always hearing great reviews on this one but it's too bad about the scent! I'm not a big fan of floral either, so it's good to have a heads up ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica great fit!! When were we going to use the papa recipe masks?? I forgot already ๐Ÿคฆ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Hahaha. This week would have been a good one to pick - F for fruitables and I got mine from @faeriegirl. But I have them on my schedule for March 9th for P and "good enough to eat" @lmaster.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Ok @ShortErica sounds good!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I am happy that you are enjoying the mask @ShortErica. Too Cool For School facial products seem to be too heavy on my face.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I'll be curious to try the other ones @Loretta55. Thanks again!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I feel any Too Cool For School product is just too heavy on my skin unfortunately @ShortErica. I used some of their products for too long and now I am paying the price. I have too many areas of congestion on my face. I am super impatient about the areas clearing up but according to the BAโ€™s at Sephora I am following the correct course with my skincare.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I wish there was a quick fix for all skin problems. Glad you are on the right path @Loretta55. I'm sure the facials help too!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I feel tempted to go to the dermatologist and pay out of pocket to get the milia removed @ShortErica. Some of them are seeming like they have gotten closer to the surface of my skin.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Do you have a dermatologist or have you researched who you would go to? I'm thinking the results would be worth it. Let me know if you go to one and how the experience is @Loretta55. I don't have anything in particular but think I might want to get someone to check out my skin because my mom did have a bit of skin cancer on her back she had removed in the past. I think sunscreen was more used when I was a kid than she was but you never know. I'm curious how a dermatologist visit would go.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I went to a dermatologist within my healthcare network last year @ShortErica. She gave me a thorough exam but I did ask about removing all of the milia on my forehead and the singular milia on my eyelid and under my eye. She told me that it was not a covered expense and it would be totally out of pocket. In the past any dermatologist I went to would remove milia or break a pimple using a sterile needle.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

It's good she was up front about what was out of pocket @Loretta55. I hate getting surprise bills when I think services are covered.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Too bad the fragrance was too strong on this one @ShortErica. because otherwise it sounds like it was a good one.  That can be an issue for me as well, so I appreciate the heads up.  I'll steer clear of this one.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I know everyone handles smell differently @mrsmouse. This one I was fine with extended wearing (35 minutes) and it wasn't as strong after applying. I tend to find florals as a strong smell and I don't like tea tree scent. If you already have it, I'd say still give it a go or at least a sniff test, but if scents bother you - no reason to buy it with so many options for masks.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I don't currently have this one @ShortErica.  I'm pretty sure I've seen it at TJM/Marshalls a few times, but never picked it up.  At this point I have far too many masks to get through to pick up more unless they are something that really sparks my interest.  I *almost* feel like I am looking for reasons NOT to buy at this point.  ๐Ÿ˜‰
