Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Yesterday's face mask is on-theme!

I've figured out a way to track who gave me the sheet masks. Sharpie/pen on the back- write their Sephora handle and I will always know who to thank!W- whole foodsW- whole foods

This mask was extra moisturizing, yet it soaked it and didn't remain tacky. I have liked every Whole Foods mask so far! Thanks @eshoe

The Laneige Cica Sleeping mask, courtesy of Sephora, has the typical consistency of a Laneige sleeping mask. It is a while cream that leaves a ....greasy feel on the skin, like their original sleeping mask. The occlusive properties in this are wonderful for keeping moisture in, and my skin felt soft this morning. However, the typical greasy-feel was still there. It did calm my skin. That being said, my skin is really not red, or raging, or irritated at the moment. Just my nose area is red from blowing it from my cold (and this did help in calming that red). That said, it did sting on my red raw nose the other night, as all of my products besides my balm cleaner did. i.e.: It will sting if you have raw skin.
*If you love the properties and feel of the regular Laneige sleeping mask, you will enjoy this even more.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@l8totheparty  All the Whole Foods masks seem to be winners! I've liked the ones I've tried too! 👌

Thanks for your thoughts on the Laniege! It would be interesting to know how it'd do with skin that was more irritated/red. It definitely sounds promising!

Happy to hear you enjoyed both of these!

I hope you're feeling better soon! It does seem to be going around!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thanks, @Shosh85 ! I hope someone with more irritated skin will speak up. My skin gets more red/irritated in the summer, so the Laneige cica sleeping mask will be tested more fully then 😊☀️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Oh wow @sonnydee mentioned it too, I always keep a Sharpie nearby now @l8totheparty @PrettyPaint! So helpful.

The Laneige sounds good for your skin. The water sleeping mask wasn’t my favorite but a lot of people love it. Your poor red nose! I hope it’s getting better😊

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@l8totheparty  Oh are you the one who gave the tip about writing stuff on the back with a sharpie??? I remember reading that here but couldn't remember who mentioned that, but thank you! I've been doing that and it has made me much more organized. Plus I like an excuse to use a sharpie. I hope you feel better soon. I know that feeling of having the raw nose - it's the worst. Both masks sound really nice, though.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Oh gosh, this is the first time I've mentioned it, and I just thought of it when I was rearranging my masks, so I thought I'd share.  Surely I wasn't the first to think of this wonderful idea!  😊 It really does help though.  @PrettyPaint

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@l8totheparty  Yes, it's great! I think when I first read about it here, someone said that they make notes (if they have used the mask before) about whether they liked it, tips or length of time to leave it on, etc.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@l8totheparty @Thanks for the review! I haven’t tried this yet so I will have to soon although I didn’t love the original so we shall see

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

It has the same consistency and feel and film as the original, fyi @Kim888

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well @l8totheparty!  I hope your cold goes aways super soon!  I don't think I have heard anyone give a bad review to a Whole Foods mask, so those seem like they're pretty good.  Sharpie on the back of the mask is exactly what I do too!  🙂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I'm intrigued to see how the Laneige Cica holds up again redness and irritation (as opposed to rawness- ouch, hope your nose is feeling better soon!) in the future. It'll be interesting to see how it does, @l8totheparty.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Indeed, @quspork . I hope someone who has more redness can speak up about the effect on a more irritated face. @quspork

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@l8totheparty I totally copied that from you!! I'm writing names now too 🙌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  Great job getting through your DS's! It always feels good to empty something, no matter the size. 👍
The sheet mask sounds wonderful! Thanks for the research on the ingredients! It's interesting that sodium hyaluronate is less susceptible to oxidation. I think I always assumed that and HA were the same thing 🤷‍♀️ Glad you enjoyed it! These mask seem to be all turning out great! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I always thought they were the same, too @Shosh85. But then so many of the ingredients just looked like variations of the same thing, I wanted to know why🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s a good ingredient family!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

This blue theme is so pleasing to look at, @eshoe!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thank you @quspork🙂 My new phone’s camera shattered internally so the pics only work in selfie mode...makes getting a straightforward angle challenging🙄

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Love your baby blue theme @eshoe

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thank you @lmaster, blue is just so pleasing, I need more blue products lol

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  That it's skin mask sounds fantastic! I appreciate all of the detail you provided on ingredients. Also, that is always gratifying getting rid of all the deluxe sizes.
