Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Below is the 2020 schedule. Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

I love the little pink duckie @rockstargina! You also addressed something I struggle with; taking a pic and not getting to everything. It happens so often, thank you for showing me how it’s done properly;)

For the S theme I used a Sephora Collection Mask - "The Blue Mask." It's described as an ultra-toning foil mask. This was my first foray into foil masks, so I didn't know what to expect (and still don't really know what to think...haha). 

First off, the mask was quite thick, though I'm guessing this is likely the case with foil masks. Masks are usually way too large for me, but this one fortunately was smaller than many I have used. Overall, the fit was fairly decent. The eye holes were a bit small and the width was a bit off, so I had to do a little folding to get it to align on my face. Due to the foil, though, it didn't sit as closely to my face as would be preferred. I think I would need to do some trimming next time. I kept it on for 15 minutes. It wasn't particularly comfortable, so I wasn't tempted to keep it on any longer. Again, I don't know if this is just the nature of foil masks, though. In terms of smell, I suppose I mainly noticed the menthol smell. 

I took a photo of the back of the mask as well for ingredients, but the packaging is so shiny that the text wasn't legible. So instead I'm just going to tag it. I did photograph the actual mask, though, because it's pretty cool to look at. 

The results seemed pretty true to the intended effects. I'd say it did seem to tone my skin (and it felt a little tight for a few minutes after removing it). I definitely didn't notice any moisturizing effects, but I don't believe it's intended to moisturize at all. I feel like I would likely get a similar effect from using toner on a cotton, so I think I prefer that application method given the mask wasn't exactly comfortable to wear. But it did look cool and was refreshing overall.

@PrettyPaint  I do feel like foil masks are kinda hit or miss when it comes to adherence, but there are some great ones out there! Love the blue on this one!

@Shosh85  It's definitely a pretty one. All in all I'm glad I got to try it, though I probably wouldn't purchase again unless they wind up in the sales section.

Hmmm...good to know about this mask @PrettyPaint. Foil masks can be more a little more challenging with adherence and fit. I have one of these waiting in the wings.

@lmaster  Yeah, come to think of it, I haven't done much in the way of toning masks before, so this was definitely a new masking experience for me 🙂

@PrettyPaint Foil masks can be pretty great! The best I’ve found have always been two-part, a top and a bottom half, like a lot of hydrogel masks. Considering this is just dipping your toes in, I am crossing my fingers that it will only get better-I’ve never had a bad foil mask, just ones that leave a lot of tack but that’s easy to wash off.

And @missjeanie is right. Perfect public masking mask (I did some front-yard gardening a couple of months ago wearing a blue foil one-have me something to smile about while doing a pretty mundane task😄

@eshoe  Oooh I never thought to pair masking with yard work. You know, I don't think I've ever seen anyone out in public with a sheet mask before. I hope to see that one day! 🙂

And that's awesome that you've never had a bad foil mask. Surprisingly this one wasn't tacky at all, and I usually experience some tackiness with sheet masks. Perhaps that's because it was a toning one.

Well now the foil ones I’ve had have almost always been tacky @PrettyPaint seems to be a consistent trait for me with them but I think the environment comes into play here as well (humid vs dry). Apparently a dry climate = lots of tack🤷🏻‍♀️

I am always watching the humidity on my weather app @PrettyPaint, guess I’m a goof for that but if it helps solve a masking dilemma I’m all for it😉

Tell me you showed it to someone while you had it on @PrettyPaint ? If it can’t be comfortable, it at least needs to be shown off(I’m lookin’ at you too 5 “ heels)! Lol I’m not feeling any great need to buy any of these masks based off reviews here. Bummer.

@missjeanie  Well my son thought I looked like a super hero, so that was a definite win! 🙂  I'm hoping that someone with more foil mask experience who has tried this one can weigh in since this was my first experience with this kind of material. Not sure what the comfort level is usually like.

Adherence is always a little tricky with these @PrettyPaint. I usually end up removing the bottom (when they are two-part) after 5-10 minutes, leaving the top half on around 20.

@eshoe  Oh, I love that idea. And that's another thing I wouldn't have thought to do! Thanks for the tip. Sometimes I want to wear a mask a bit longer but want a snack or beverage at the same time, so this would be a great way to cater to that need! 🙂
