Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee

@keana1 So many choices is right! I feel like this one might be tied with the silver foil Banobagi one. It did seem like this one was a bit thinner than the Banobagi, it also seemed to retain A LOT more moisture, both were pretty tacky, but both also seemed to deliver about the same great results – except I think that this Berrisom one had a little better hydration. 🤷‍♀️ So, basically, they're both great. It does seem like the Banobagi might be easier to get a hold of.

That’s what I was thinking about the Banobagi masks @Shosh85 ! I searched for them yesterday and I could easily find them! I didn’t do a search yet for the Berrisom mask, I’ll do one later today because it’s today here ! 😂 It’s yesterday where you are 😂🤣 !

@Shosh85, I feel like I might like the thinness of this mask. Setting aside the thick serum on this one, are you more partial to a thinner foil mask like this one or the more traditional foil masks like the Banobagi ones?

@itsfi I think in general, I prefer masks to be on thin side. So, I did like that it was thinner/more breathable than other foil masks I've tried, like the Banobagi one – but I think what really set it apart from the others the most was how much moisture it retained. I was so surprised to feel how the outside was so dry, but how wet my face still was after removing it. I really do love foil masks and it seems the majority of the ones I've tried have given some great results! 👌

I decided to take another break from “gross” masks last night, but kept with the weekly challenge by going with “H” is for hyaluronic acid, hydration and Holika Holika!

This masking combo was something I had planned to use  earlier this week but I got distracted by one of the “gross” masks before opening this one. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask is a bubbling / foaming mask that does a nice job of cleansing and hydrating the skin. I'm not a huge fan of bubbling sheet masks and masks like the Bliss Triple Oxygen one are more my speed.

Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite skincare ingredients – my skin responds well to it and it’s very helpful in keeping my skin hydrated, so I was so excited to see this sheet mask among the fabulous goodies the wonderful @keana1 so generously gifted me (thank you!)  Holika Holika Skin Rescuer Hyaulronic Acid Mask Sheet is a thinner, cotton sheet mask with a subtle citrusy scent (attributable to the lemon peel and orange peel oils) that adheres nicely to the contours of my skin. It’s too large all around for my face, but that’s nothing that a few snips here and there can’t easily fix. There’s also an interesting feature of this one, in that it has “ears” on the mask that are perforated so you can remove them. It was late last night when I used the mask so I’m not sure what they’re meant for, maybe to help pull apart the sheet mask? Once applied, the mask feels cooling on the skin. Directions recommend 10-20 minutes. I had it on for my typical half hour and when I removed the mask, my skin felt cool to the touch and bouncy. The essence absorbed quickly into my skin with a few pats; the very slight tacky feeling disappeared once I applied my moisturizer. My skin feels soft, supple and bouncy this morning and when I looked in the mirror, my complexion looked fresh and hydrated; it looks like I got plenty of sleep, which, in fact, is not the case. Results like that earn it an “A”!

I’m so glad that you loved this mask @itsfi ! The flaps are for unfolding the mask but I ignore them, they’re more of a hassle than helpful! I just fold them over! The Bliss foaming mask sounds much better than bubbling sheet masks! I don’t know if I would enjoy it because of my bad experience with a bubbling sheet mask?

@keana1, the Bliss mask is only like bubbling sheet mask in the sense that both foam up, but with the Bliss mask, you can control where you put it and know where it will foam up. It has a very light but noticeable peach tint to it so you can see where you applied it. I haven’t had it fall into my eyes or come close to that.

That’s good to know @itsfi ! Is it available at Sephora in the USA? We used to have Bliss products available at Sephora Canada but a few years ago they stopped carrying the brand, I don’t really know why ? I’ll have to check if the Bay still has Bliss products available online 🧐 .
