It’s a start @missjeanie! But I don’t know about the ingredients he offered up - motor oil? Nooooo thank you, sir. Lol. 😳👎🏼🤣
He thinks he's funny @itsfi ... sometimes he gets a chuckle out of me, sometimes....
@missjeanie The PTR Rose mask is a nice one! I don't especially love the smell either, but it is super refreshing and soothing right out of the fridge! Glad you enjoyed it! 🌹
The PTR rose mask sounds great @missjeanie!
I'll admit @faeriegirl I ended up liking it more than I thought I would! I used it again last night and quite enjoyed it!
I think it’s great you managed to masks despite getting home after midnight, @missjeanie! It’s hard when it’s so late to even cleanse/moisturize, nice work👏🏼😊
@eshoeI actually contemplated skipping my shower but I knew that I'd never get up in time to shower/blow dry my hair in the morning! I think sleeping masks are my jam on lazy/late nights!
Glad you mentioned it @missjeanie, I knew I was forgetting something all week-my sleeping mask!
I'm still dealing with that annoying breakout that thankfully is on its last legs, so I used another mud mask/sheet mask combo last night. This time I started with the Whish Renewing Mud Mask and followed that with the Mamonde Magnolia sheet mask.
The Whish mask is interesting in that the directions caution you about leaving it on too long, also saying you could experience warmth and redness. They actually say to start with just 15 seconds and work up to 2 minutes for application time. Even though the tube says it works similar to a facial peel, I had no idea why because I had thrown away the outer packaging at some point and hadn't looked up the ingredients. But I'm a rule follower! So really, I used this mainly as a spot treatment over a few blemishes along my jaw line and on my cheeks. It went on amazingly thin and since I only left it on for less than a minute, didn't really dry down too much. (Although, I guess it did dry a bit, because it did really sheer out rather quickly, but it certainly didn't feel dry.) Nice to note, it has a pump dispenser for the tube, which makes application a little less messy. The scent is very fruity and refreshing. It washed off easily and seemed to soften and calm the areas I had put it on. I did not experience any warmth or redness. So it seems nice, but I'd definitely need to continue use to determine real results. Of course, after using it, I did look up more about the ingredients (LOL!) and it turns out the reason for the warnings is that it contains Bakuchiol, which is apparently a substitute for retinol. Very interesting! I'm not ready to rate this one quite yet, but I'll use it again soon and see how it goes.
The Mamonde was lovely for me, as so many of their masks are. I didn't notice much of a scent with this one and there was so much essence that I ended up having enough left over in the packet to apply this morning. It was another good hydrating mask, so an A for this one!
Have you tried all of the flower essences from the Mamonde line yet @quspork? Curious which is your favorite so far...
I don't think I've tried the Narcissus yet, @eshoe but I do have that one, so I'll have to use it soon. So far, I think the Rose and Hibiscus are my favorites!
Thank you, @quspork -I have the Narcissus I think, so I’m looking forward to trying it out!
15 seconds... jeeze... I'd barely have it on one part of my face before I needed to remove it from where I started! Sounds interesting for sure, and something worth taking it slow on @quspork !
RIght? I think I waited closer to 30 seconds, but probably will try a little longer next time and see how it goes, @missjeanie!
@quspork Very interesting about the Whish mask! I've never heard of Bakuchiol and that it was a substitute for retinol! Thanks for that little piece of knowledge! It definitely sounds like it'd be great as a spot treatment!
Glad to hear you like the Mamonde mask! I've heard a lot of positive reviews on these! I love a good hydrating mask 😉
@quspork Love this combo! Mud masks are the best for breakouts. I really love the ORIGINS - Clear Improvement® Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores.
Yes- love a good mud mask to help with spot treating breakouts, @PenelopeBT! Unfortunately, that Origins didn't play well with my skin, but I know a lot of others love it!
The Mamonde sheet mask sounds so lovely @quspork - I love hydrating masks! 💙 I’m very interested to hear how the Whish mask works out for you in the long run. The pump dispenser is a nice touch and I like that you use it as a spot treatment and along the jawline; I find myself using mud masks the same way!
