Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
I tried my Icing Sweet Bar mask last night. The juicy fruity scent was wonderful! A+ scent. My face looked bright and fresh in the morning. The tackiness stuck around for a while, but it wasn't annoyingly tacky, you know? Solid A mask. I'd use this one again!I for Icing

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
Saturday's "I" was for Innisfree
I know that there’s a period in the summer when figs are in season, but figs typically make me think of fall, so after seeing some figs at Trader Joe’s and with fall around the corner, I went for the Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask (Fig). I don’t think I’ve ever tried a fig mask before this one. It seems the new Innisfree packaging has a glossier finish than previous masks in this line and it includes a designation of the type of essence/serum that the particular mask contains. The packaging for this fig one says it’s an “essence” type. I went back to pull one of the other Innisfree ones I’ve used, a bamboo one and that says it’s a “watery type”. I do recall that bamboo one having a thin, watery liquidy serum so it’ll be interesting to see what “essence” type means. I have a ginseng sheet mask from this line and that says “creamy” essence, which I tucked away for use when it gets colder.
The first thing I noticed was that you can sense (hahaha!) that there’s a scent to this mask but for me, it wasn’t something I could decipher. It didn’t smell like fig to me, either the figs that I cut up or the fit scent from the Laura Mercier body crème. Adherence on this 100% cellulose eucalyptus fiber sheet mask was good; fit on this one can be made to work – corners of eyes and mouth need some adjustments; the upper lip area is also very wide – it covers the philtrum area (the middle of the upper lip area) and part of my upper lip.
There seems to be a little more viscosity to the serum in this one; it’s still liquid-y but it doesn’t feel as thin as the ‘watery’ serum masks from the line like the bamboo one and the consistency on this one feels more goopy without being too thick; the texture is reminiscent of a serum or a more viscous essence. My skin was feeling a bit more dry this morning so I kept it on an additional 10 minutes, for a total of 40; I probably could have kept it on for an additional 10 minutes, maybe more. My skin felt a slightly bit tacky to the touch after I removed the mask, but a little moisturizer took care of that. My complexion looked refreshed and bright, and felt moisturized.

Re: I've never had the opportunity to try fig,,,, that wasn't...
Thank you @lmaster! 🤗 I only recently tried an actual fig, maybe a year or two ago. Before that all I knew of the fig was the Newton! 😂 I wish there was a way for me to send you some to try, without them spoiling in transport.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@itsfi Oh how cool! I don't think I've seen a fig mask before, but figs are such a neat fruit (love them). That's interesting about the "essence" versus "watery" type designation.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@PrettyPaint the first time I had fresh figs was a couple of years ago - I know! Where have I been?!! 😂 They’re good and I was excited when I saw this fig mask! I’ll have to try to take photos to compare the different types of serum in this line. I’m liking the fact that the packaging lets you know which type the mask has.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@itsfi Yes, I'm glad you mentioned that about the various designations because I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise! If you do notice a difference in the different formulations, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
Definitely @PrettyPaint! I’ll go through my stash and pull out the Innisfree masks I have from this line. I’m pretty sure I have one of each type of essence; 😆 if not, there’s an Innisfree store that’s less than half an hour from me. 😉 I probably won’t get around to using them this week, but will see about incorporating them into the routine in the next few weeks.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@itsfi Speaking of innisfree, I've been meaning to ask you. Do you happen to have any favorites from the products newly available at sephora? No rush, but just curious. They don't have any sheet masks at sephora that I see, but I was looking at their "my lip balm" and some of the products from their green tea line. Thanks

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
Sounds great @itsfi. No rush, of course! I know you had mentioned that you'll be doing snail September if I'm remembering correctly, so definitely no pressure to use any additional sheet masks!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@itsfi You definitely don't see too many fig masks out there! This sounds so nice. I kinda wish more masks would specify what kind of serum it had - it's nice to have an idea of what to expect. I'm happy you enjoyed it! 😃

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
Me too @Shosh85! It’s been helpful seeing the type of serum noted on the packaging of the new masks in this line. It makes me wonder if I should be organizing my masks by serum type as well...

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@missy415, this Innisfree line of masks is a pretty good line to start masking with. The line has three different types of serum (water, essence and cream) that vary with the “flavor” of the mask. One thing to note with these if you are sensitive to alcohol or if you prefer not to have it in your mask is that some, but not, all of the masks in the line contain alcohol pretty high up on the ingredients list so you’ll want to check the ingredients list first.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
I is for Increase elasticity.
Yesterday I used Look at Me collagen face mask. It was a thin tencel sheet that was dripping with essence. It had a nice light floral scent. The fit on this one was a bit off so I had to make adjustments around the eyes and mouth. I left it on for 25 minutes and there was still a lot of serum left to massage into my face, neck, and arms. It was a little tacky at first but absorbed in less than 5 minutes. My face definitely felt hydrated and my forehead lines did look a bit better. I will definitely use this one again. A- due to the fit.
