@sonnydeeLooks like a solid line up tonight! I love your Hello Kitty mask, so cute! Is it weird that I enjoy looking at those nose strips so much? Even when I do my own, I stare at it and then my nose, then at it again. lol. I'm glad the stinging wasn't an issue tonight, no need for that!
The first time I did a nose strip on my husband (then boyfriend) it was the most satisfying thing ever @missjeanie. Part of me wishes I kept it because though the nose strips after have pulled out gunk, none have been quite at the level of the first one. Sometimes I will leave the strip on the counter so I can look at it again later instead of tossing it immediately. You aren't alone. 😉
Yes @ShortErica !! I remember doing them on a boyfriend once who's idea of skin care was washing his face in the shower with a bar of Irish Spring. SO SATISFYING! lol I just love seeing the gunk that comes out! Nice to know i'm not alone in this one!
I was going to go for another snail mask last night but my niece decided she wanted me to do the honey one that we bought out and about earlier in the evening... and how can I say no to a super cute 6 year old??
This mask is made by Upper Canada Soap co. but is apparently a Korean beauty secret? It's the Warm Honey Nectar mask. The mask did have a scent to it, but I couldn't quite place it. It wasn't honey, but maybe just a general soap smell. It did fit quite nicely and I left it on for about a half hour (15-20 was the recomended time). There was bit of the serum left in the pouch, just enough to rub on my arms and chest. I was pretty beat by the time I was putting this on, and I feel like after I took it off, I still looked pretty tired. That being said, I ended up skipping my night time skincare routine and falling asleep just after I took it off and my skin felt fine this morning so I'll say that there were some definite hydrating properties!
"This mask is made by Upper Canada Soap co. but is apparently a Korean beauty secret?"
BWAHAHAHA laughing because yes marketing works, doesn't it, @missjeanie? Good for you for saying yes to a 6yo niece. My niece is 15 almost 16 and I wish I could have masked with her back then 😄
I’m all for jumping on the Korean beauty trend @eshoe , but this felt like they were stretching it a bit. The mask is made in Mississauga, by a Canadian company. Are they sending it overseas? Are the Korean characters really needed? I felt like they were just trying to fool me into thinking it was a Korean mask. I think they need to do a little better with their marketing. That said I’m sure someone fell for it.
My neices love masking and playing makeup! They’re 3 and 6, and just think auntie has so much fun with all her beauty stuff. Lol they even have their own makeup bags here (I’m not sharing my viseart quite yet)! I’ll bet your neices just love all your beauty knowledge now that they can really get into it!
@missjeanie they live clear across the country so I don’t get to hear about results, I would love to hear though! They say they like them, which I guess is good😂
oh that's a bummer they're so far away! It's always harder when you're relying on phone calls and technology to try and stay close. I'll bet they do love them all though!
I’m looking forward to trying it out on an evening where I’m not quite as tired @lmaster ! But thank heavens it was hydrating enough for my tired face falling asleep lol!
No is not an answer you can give to an adorable 6 year old @missjeanie. You made the smart decision. Glad to hear about the hydrating properties. Would you consider trying this one again when you aren't tired to see how it affects your "normal" skin?
oh for sure @ShortErica . I still have a few that came with this one and I'll give it another go. I'll be trying to pin point the scent a bit more next time as well. I'm not opposed to trying out the other ones in their line, even though I find the marketing a bit strange. I'm not sure I'd seek this one out, but I have no issue using them.
I try to consider that when grading mask @missjeanie, whether I would use it vs. seek it out. I'll look forward to more insights when you give them another try.
Oooh @missjeanie, honey 🍯!! Such a fabulous ingredient.
They actually had a few different masks from this brand at the store and I picked this one because of the Honey. It fit with H week and is an ingredient I like. I was hoping it would smell like honey too.
@missjeanie I just ran across this brand yesterday when I was browsing Amazon. You'd assume with the title, "Naturally Upper Canada" that it wouldn't have anything to do with Korea 🤔 Glad to hear it was a decent mask and hydrated well! Honey is definitely one of my favorite ingredients! 🍯👍
Winners actually had a few different masks following this same "korean beauty secret" but made my Upper Canada Soap theme. I was pretty skeptical but picked the honey honestly because it was H week. I was kinda worried when I smelled it, but this guy was better than anticipated.
Snails, snails everywhere! 🐌🐌
There's a hydrogel version of this mask @itsfi? It might be love at first sight for me! This sounds absolutely wonderful, snails who have lovingly shared their mucin with the pristine silt of Jeju Island 😄 Ok for real I am going to have to check this one out. Thank you for the review;)
I think the hydrogel is just a snail mask; not sure if that one includes honey, @eshoe.
