@lmaster Wow, I love the way you describe the smell on this one. Hopefully I haven't asked this already, but where do you purchase these at? I don't think I've seen them around.

This was a nice one, @lmaster! I couldn’t place the scent and now I can’t remember it except that it wasn’t Ginseng. Fruity raspberry sounds about right

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
A ginseng mask that smells like raspberries @lmaster? Now I’m even more intrigued by this mask. 🤔 It sounded interesting when I first read @GalPalVal17’s post on it; hmmm... may have to see if there’s a variety or sample pack of her masks but after I’ve done some more chipping away at my own mask stash. 😆

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
L is for Lovemore and Loofah
I have been wanting to try a Lovemore masks for ages, going back to when I first started learning about sheet masks and having an appreciation for the differences in sheet masks! So this is a “Finally!!!!” moment for me, in the best way. Lovemore Loofah & Aloe Vera Hydrating Mask Sheet is a very thin and light 100% silk Taiwanese sheet mask with a clean, fresh and refreshing scent. I can’t make out what the scent is exactly but I would be happy if all sheet masks smelled like this. The mask itself is sandwiched between a white plastic like backing and a light blue fabric backing. I find that when I see double backing like this, the sheet mask itself will be thin, delicate and easily prone to tearing. This isn’t the thinnest or most delicate sheet mask I’ve used but it is on the thinner side. I paired it with the MARIO BADESCU - Lip Balm, a subtly coconut scented balm that has a thicker consistency but still applies wonderfully and does a nice job of keeping my lips soft, smooth and moisturized.
I’ve found that the best way to apply masks like this one is to first remove the white plastic backing and then starting at my forehead, slowly apply the mask onto my face, with the blue backing side facing out. Staying on the forehead, I will peel back that portion of the blue backing and let it hang there while I position the mask in place. I’ll slowly work my way to the eye section and make any necessary adjustments with my mini scissors. Here I snipped both corners so I could fold up the section sitting on my lids and to adjust the area covering the bridge of my nose which was closer to the inner corner of my eyes that I’m comfortable with. Other than that, the only adjustment was to cut off about 3/4” from the chin/jawline. I could have also snipped off about 1/4" from the temples but it was really minor so I just left it. The sheet mask is extremely comfortable to wear.
Interestingly, I felt a slight cooling sensation a little less than 5 minutes into my wear time. It was unexpected and brief so I didn’t get the exact time I felt that. It was nice. Also interesting was that the mask felt like it was starting to dry out around the 25 minute mark. This is fine with me as I don’t usually like to keep a sheet mask on longer than an half hour, but it was strange that it started to dry out around that time; most sheet masks are soaked with essence and my experience is that I could, if I wanted easily leave them on for an additional 15-20 minutes without it beginning to dry out. I managed to eek it out to 30 minutes with this one but that involved me massaging the essence from my forehead where I tend to have a lot of excess essence remaining to my drier cheeks, upper lip and even to my chin. After removing the mask, there was really just the slightest essence remaining to be pressed into the skin, which it absorbed quickly.
Results-wise, say hello to soft, smooth hydrated skin! Zero trace of tack or stickiness. If there’s a moisturizer with these ingredients that would produce results like this, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I will absolutely be trying out the other Lovemore mask sheets that I have very soon.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
I can't wait to try out the other masks from this brand @quspork! I have a feeling that Lovemore will be one of the sheet mask brands that I consider top tier as far as fave brands go for me.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@itsfi Oh my goodness, that mask sounds lovely! 100% silk? I didn't know such a mask existed! I'll be checking out this brand for sure. And thanks for the helpful application tips - I love reading stuff like this. Glad the balm works well too. I just picked one of these up from the ulta deals, though I think I got the mint flavor.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
It was such a beautiful mask @PrettyPaint! Highly recommend these Lovemore masks! Of course, there's a mint flavor of the Mario Badescu balm - I need to look up what other flavors they have... because...you know, I just don't have enough lip balms. hahaha!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
This does sound like a beautiful mask, @itsfi. I appreciate the tips on application, sometimes I’m unsure which side to apply when there are two protective sheets.
Loofah is an interesting ingredient, I think this is a first for my eyes!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!
@eshoe, I usually take off both protective layers and just unfold and apply the mask that way but this one was so thin I knew I’d get it twisted and tangled if I went that route. Different ways to go about it; this one worked for me for this sheet mask. 😃
