Hello lovely masking mavens! Please continue posting on the Q4 Thread which can be found here:

Spoiler

Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

To Post:

Spoiler
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: @itsfi I need to try this daily masking, I do have a few...

Doooo it @lmaster! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My skin does see improvements when I mask daily. How often are you currently masking? I worked my way up to daily masking for a month - started at 5 straight days, then the next time I did 7, then 10, 14, 21 and then a month. Iโ€™m still trying to figure out what works best for me. At some point, possibly this year but more likely next, I think Iโ€™ll try daily masking for a month with rotating 2-3 different masks; the variety sounds like it might be a good way to keep at it. Weโ€™ll see how this month goes with the Yadah snail mask. ๐ŸŒ

Re: @itsfi I need to try this daily masking, I do have a few...

@itsfi usually I mask 1-2 times daily ๐Ÿ˜ at least once I day, but usually different masks everyday

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Daily masking with the same mask!!!  @itsfi I LOVE this!  I'm so excited to see how this works for you daily!  You're so right, these aren't the best fitting mask, but at these prices they sure are a great option.  I suspect come November/December I'll try a daily challenge if this works out well for you!  So excited to see your results!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Awww, thank you @missjeanie!!! ๐Ÿฅฐ Good to see you! You know me and snail masks! ๐ŸŒ The price point for these make them ideal candidates for daily masking. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ - we shall see how it goes!!!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Iโ€™m excited for you @itsfi ! All that mucin will be awesome!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  I love how you're doing this for the month of September. I look forward to hearing about your results. I need to find the dedication to drink more water as well (and lower my coffee intake).

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Awww, thank you @PrettyPaint! ๐Ÿ™‚  Based on my various efforts to sheet mask daily, it really does my skin good. Snails in September sounded like fun!

Oh my goodness, drinking more water takes work, at least for me it does. I've tried different ways to motivate myself to take in more water; some days are better than others. And, yes, I also need to make sure I drink even more water on those days when it's so easy to drink more coffee. lol. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Enjoy the snail masking with Yadah! @itsfi

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks @l8totheparty. Mission: Daily Snail Sheet Masking is underway! ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  This is such a perfect mask for daily masking - nice job challenging yourself! I think it's good you'll be throwing other masks into the mix as well, so it doesn't get too boring ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'll be interested in your updates! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‘

Also, that is an adorable water bottle! I love how well it matches the mask packaging ๐Ÿ˜

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thank you @Shosh85! ๐Ÿ™‚ My skin has responded really well to daily sheet masking so far; we'll see how it likes daily masking with these snail sheet masks. I was gifted the water bottle by a coworker last Christmas. I thought of pairing it for the photo because of the snail connection but it turned out to match up really well color wise as well. Me and snails, go figure. lol.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I love this mask @itsfi! I just found a bunch of them at TJ Maxx so Iโ€™m excited I can use them more often.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It's such a good mask, isn't it @faeriegirl?! Gotta love TJ Maxx / Marshalls for stocking these as regularly as they seem to! I didn't realize these came with 12 in a box; I thought it was just 10. Looks like I can go longer than a month with these if I want to.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi - woah! A whole month of snail masks? That's some dedication. Good to know about T.J. Maxx and Marshall's carrying sheet masks. I'll have to see where the nearest one to me is.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thank you @nuinui933. Oh, you should definitely check out your nearby TJ Maxx / Marshalls. Inventory and variety vary by store. The ones closest to me are slowly ramping up their selection; the stores that are an half hour to an hour away from me seem to have more of a selection. It's better for my wallet that I don't get out that way very often. hahaha! ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck with your search! Here's a thread where some members post their hauls and findings from TJ Maxx / Marshalls / Winners that you may be interested in -

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I tried my Icing Sweet Bar mask last night. The juicy fruity scent was wonderful!  A+ scent.  My face looked bright and fresh in the morning.  The tackiness stuck around for a while, but it wasn't annoyingly tacky, you know?  Solid A mask. I'd use this one again!I for IcingI for Icing

so happy you loved this one @l8totheparty the scent is so...

so happy you loved this one @l8totheparty the scent is so satisfying!!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Glad this worked out well for you @l8totheparty. It seems like a lot of people enjoyed this one! ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty Yay! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed this one too! I've got some of these on their way to me and I'm excited to try it! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Saturday's "I" was for Innisfree

Innisfree Fig.JPG

Spoiler

I know that thereโ€™s a period in the summer when figs are in season, but figs typically make me think of fall, so after seeing some figs at Trader Joeโ€™s and with fall around the corner, I went for the Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask (Fig). I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever tried a fig mask before this one. It seems the new Innisfree packaging has a glossier finish than previous masks in this line and it includes a designation of the type of essence/serum that the particular mask contains. The packaging for this fig one says itโ€™s an โ€œessenceโ€ type. I went back to pull one of the other Innisfree ones Iโ€™ve used, a bamboo one and that says itโ€™s a โ€œwatery typeโ€. I do recall that bamboo one having a thin, watery liquidy serum so itโ€™ll be interesting to see what โ€œessenceโ€ type means. I have a ginseng sheet mask from this line and that says โ€œcreamyโ€ essence, which I tucked away for use when it gets colder.

The first thing I noticed was that you can sense (hahaha!) that thereโ€™s a scent to this mask but for me, it wasnโ€™t something I could decipher. It didnโ€™t smell like fig to me, either the figs that I cut up or the fit scent from the Laura Mercier body crรจme. Adherence on this 100% cellulose eucalyptus fiber sheet mask was good; fit on this one can be made to work โ€“ corners of eyes and mouth need some adjustments; the upper lip area is also very wide โ€“ it covers the philtrum area (the middle of the upper lip area) and part of my upper lip.

There seems to be a little more viscosity to the serum in this one; itโ€™s still liquid-y but it doesnโ€™t feel as thin as the โ€˜wateryโ€™ serum masks from the line like the bamboo one and the consistency on this one feels more goopy without being too thick; the texture is reminiscent of a serum or a more viscous essence. My skin was feeling a bit more dry this morning so I kept it on an additional 10 minutes, for a total of 40; I probably could have kept it on for an additional 10 minutes, maybe more. My skin felt a slightly bit tacky to the touch after I removed the mask, but a little moisturizer took care of that. My complexion looked refreshed and bright, and felt moisturized. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've never had the opportunity to try fig,,,, that wasn't...

I've never had the opportunity to try fig,,,, that wasn't a fig Newton ๐Ÿ˜‚ this looks delicious, great presentation as always
