Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Spoiler

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

So for drugstore week, I used the same mask as @Shosh85. It's Miss Spa's Chocolate Self-Heating Clay Mask. I had never used a mask from this brand before so I didn't know what to expect. It contains Kaolin, Mennonite, and Zeolite clay, and it's supposed to absorb oil and shed dead skin cells as well as soothe the skin. It was pretty thick coming out of the package, but it was pretty easy to apply once you start rubbing it in the skin. As mentioned by @Shosh85, it smells wonderful - just like chocolate frosting or pudding. Like seriously, I had to make a conscious effort not to accidentally eat it because I almost did a few times. So don't use this mask unless you want to get a serious chocolate craving. I kept it on for about 20 minutes. It remained creamy on the skin and never dried down at all, and it essentially looks like you rubbed a bunch of milk chocolate frosting on your face. I did feel a very mild heating sensation, though it was very light and pleasant. After removal, my skin felt very moisturized, more so than I was expecting for a clay mask and remained soft/moisturized for the rest of the day. In fact, I'd say my skin almost felt a bit greasy, so I think I'll definitely grab some more of these to use for the winter months. Overall, I was very happy with it and it's a great deal, so I do plan to repurchase.

Yum!! 😋 Chocolate sounds delish @PrettyPaint! 🍫 Probably not the best thing to have while getting over a cold. Maybe next week then... 😆😉

@itsfi  Agreed that chocolate probably isn't the best thing when you're getting over a cold. That being said, I find chocolate to be quite soothing for a sore throat. Just saying! 🙂
