Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

Same.  @ShortErica there's some that I love that has it. -TCS honey/lavender does ie., but if I get it in a sub. I'll use it but I try to use it sparingly since I'm not getting any younger. 😉 The Dr. G peel pads have been the only  product that I have to write off completely because they throw my skin off way too much. Oil overload!😯😲

Last night I decided to duel two masks each with Cannabis sativa seed oil. On the left side of my face I used Origins Hello Calm™ Relaxing & Hydrating Face Mask with Hemp Seed Oil 2.5 oz/ 75 mLand on my right side I used PETER THOMAS ROTH - Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream

The Origins had a strong earthy smell. I couldn’t tell if the PTR had a scent, as the Origins scent was pretty strong. They were both different shades of green. The PTR had a gritty texture to me. The PTR is a sleeping mask, but after  both were on for 15 minutes it was still green and I didn’t want to turn my sheets green so I tissued them both off.

This morning both sides felt moisturized and looked nice, but the PTR side had less redness and my pores we not noticeable. I’m going to have to say that PETER THOMAS ROTH - Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Creamwon this challenge for me.

@byme4u  I had went in to get a sample of the Origins and they recommended the PTR. So I got both. Then I decided it would be perfect for a duel!

Fantastic dual @emaisgr8 !  I have the Origins and found it was good for winter but might be a bit much for me in the warmer weather.  I use it as a sleeping mask as well.  Sounds like I need to try out the PTR!

Oh nice comparison! I’ve never tried keeping Hello Calm on for a long period of time. I actually use the PTR most nights, happy to hear you like it too. @emaisgr8

I haven’t been able to come up with a Z mask so last night I used the last 2 masks from the PTR mask mashup gratis. I started with the Hungarian thermal mask. It was harder to apply than any of the other PTR masks. I left it on for almost three minutes. I massaged it in and the heat did feel nice. I rinsed it off and my face did feel soft and smooth. Then I used the Cucumber detox mask as an overnight mask. I put on a medium layer and this morning my face felt nice and refreshed. While I did like both of these they weren’t my favorites out of the set. So far my favorites are

1. Pumpkin enzyme 

2. Irish Moor mud

3. Rose stem cell 

4. 24k gold

5. Cucumber detox 

6. Hungarian thermal

Last night I tried a new (to me) mask, My Beauty Diary Taiwan Limited Edition Travel Series Kenting Algae Elastin Moisturizing Mask:

I’m a huge fan of My Beauty Diary masks but this one was a miss for me, and I won’t be repurchasing it. 

What I liked: The mask material was very soft. The serum was a nice, mid-watery consistency and there was just the right amount for my face, décolletage, and arms. 

What I didn’t like: The mask was too narrow, so the eye holes weren’t large enough at the outer edges. The mask was too short in the eye area, too, so the eye holes were barely large enough vertically, and the mask material completely covered over my eyebrows and below, which I didn’t find comfortable. The strip over my lip dried out too quickly and rolled up, so I was a bit disappointed. I kept the mask on for 30 minutes and my face didn’t feel very hydrated afterward, which is very unusual for a My Beauty Diary Mask, in my experience. 

This mask costs CAD$2.90 / US$2.20 so I would rate it as a C.

This is a limited edition so clearly they tried something different. This is a miss for me but I will definitely continue buying regular My Beauty Diary masks 👍
