ARCHIVE - 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Hello lovely masking mavens! Please continue posting on the Q4 Thread which can be found here:

Spoiler

Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

To Post:

Spoiler
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Well I guess it wasn’t just me then @m3rc3d3s ! I couldn’t figure out how it went from the nice jelly I spied first to that liquide of a mess so quick.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie I so feel you on morning masking and I'm also curious about the Azure masks. Maybe it will need to be in the next cheat sheet survey. 🙂

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The eye masks sure exceeded my expectations @ShortErica . I won’t seek them out, but if I happened upon on of the full masks, I wouldn’t be shy about giving it a go.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Whoa, sounds like a very interactive masking sesh @missjeanie! 🤭

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Lol interactive it was! @itsfi , a little too interactive for a repurchase I think lol

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie, thanks for the review, sorry for your experience.  Its good to know not all of the swab mask duos are created equal.  I really enjoyed the Primary Raw experience.  Sephora almost immediately stopped carrying.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I feel like I’ll stick with the Murad for a bit @byme4u . On thé plus side, my skin does look great this morning! Possibly some diminished acne scars!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ooh, the Murad one is a nice one, @missjeanie! I pulled it out of the bin this weekend and plan to incorporate in my routine at some point.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Let me know if you can figure out the light scent on the murad @itsfi ! I remember enjoying it. I almost bought four more boxes and had to have a little chat with myself inside TJs last week. I swear someone takes over my brain in that store sometimes.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Will do @missjeanie. I’m toying with the idea of doing a duel with the Murad and the Meg one I have (though I have a little reservation about the Meg mask pack after reading your post)  - one at the beginning of the week and the other at the end. We’ll have to play that one by ear though, depending on how my skin is doing and what it feels like.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ugh oh boy that sounds like one messy masking @missjeanie 😆 I have one from Facetory this month it’s in a green package though. Will need to take out and fit in for this week because you know the curiosity will haunt me otherwise!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I just don’t understand @eshoe , I used this one once before and didn’t have the same drippy issue. FYI.... don’t get any on your lips when you try the green one. It tastes gross.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ewwww thanks for the heads up @missjeanie 😆

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Whew!  I rode that roller coaster of an adventure through your words! @missjeanie

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Lol... I was possibly feeling a smidge dramatic about it all @l8totheparty .

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I was having problems logging in and posting all day yesterday, so these are my morning masks from yesterday and today😉A02185D2-DB2F-481D-9AA9-53624FA773F0.jpeg

Peripera Smoothie Time Pomegranate Mask Sheet

This is a super thin and transparent cotton sheet mask that had plenty of serum. It had a refreshing fruity scent, that I think could be pomegranate, but it's been awhile since I smelled one so I'm not totally positive. 😉The fit on it was perfect and it was so comfortable to wear - one of those mask you forget you're wearing. I kept it on for about 35 minutes. When I removed it there was still plenty of serum to dab in that wasn't sticky or tacky. My face looked brighter, less dull, felt soft and smooth and comfortably hydrated. I really enjoyed this one, just like the others from the line, but this would probably be one I'd less excited to use again only because the scents on the others were a little better to me.

Spoiler
Ariul Raspberry & Lentil Juice Cleanse Mask

This two step mask starts with first pouring the serum into the pouch with the sheet mask. The serum had to me had a nice light berry kind of scent, but it wasn't too noticeable while the mask was on. The mask itself is super thin and transparent cotton with yellow vitamin c dots all over it. It had a good fit - just a little too long at the chin. I kept it on for about a half hour. When I removed it the serum leftover was tacky but absorbed pretty fast after massaging it in a bit. My face looked brighter, had a very nice glow and stayed hydrated for quite sometime. This one is a repurchase, just not a run-out-the-door-to-purchase-right-away kind of repurchase.

Sounds pretty good @Shosh85!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@divaknits  They were both great! 😃🤗

glad to hear the vita does worked for you @Shosh85

glad to hear the vita does worked for you @Shosh85

Re: glad to hear the vita does worked for you @Shosh85

@lmaster It worked out great! Did this one not do well for you?

Re: glad to hear the vita does worked for you @Shosh85

I meant to write vita dots @Shosh85 lol no I didn't really care for this particular one, I like the ones without the vitamin c dots better 🤷
