Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe
Remove clay/difficult masks in the shower to keep towel clean and removal easy	itsfi/BIC
Use an HA serum prior to trying a mask with alcohol high on the ingredients list	keana1

@missjeanie  oh man that doesn’t sound very relaxing at all! I’ve been curious about the jelly masks. But maybe I won’t try them now!! Thanks for all your info!

@ather I’ve used a few jelly masks that ice really liked, so I wouldn’t hold off based on this one alone. I will give it props for doing a great job, this particular one was just a tad on the messy side for me to be willing to go there again.

That does sound like quite the mess, @missjeanie! At least the jelly mask seemed to do its job and help prevent any peeling effects from the other products.

It really did have a good effect @quspork , I’ll give it that! I used some of the excess serum from the swan on my hands and excess jelly from the mask. They really are softer today!

@missjeanie well I suppose the 'complicated' aspect of this mask is trying to keep yourself from being covered in it Sounds like a bust, now I need to get out the one from my sub box and try it today. I forgot how messy it was and apparently I need to be reminded

AHHH! So glad to hear I am not alone ! I received this "MEG" two step mask in my facetory lux box and ....

I had the exact same experience. I really like the results but to be honest the hassle of the gel and liquid continuously dripping from my face down my neck and soaking my t-shirt were too much after a long work day. I think if I use this mask again I would do so right after a shower with my bathrobe on perhaps to avoid having to change clothes!!!

@m3rc3d3s  is it doable while taking a bath? I feel it might be less messy. I like to mask while bathing which works most of the time unless it’s a mask that dries then it won’t work because my bath is so hot I’m usually sweating so it ends up never drying.

The eye masks sure exceeded my expectations @ShortErica . I won’t seek them out, but if I happened upon on of the full masks, I wouldn’t be shy about giving it a go.

@missjeanie, thanks for the review, sorry for your experience.  Its good to know not all of the swab mask duos are created equal.  I really enjoyed the Primary Raw experience.  Sephora almost immediately stopped carrying.

I feel like I’ll stick with the Murad for a bit @byme4u . On thé plus side, my skin does look great this morning! Possibly some diminished acne scars!

Ooh, the Murad one is a nice one, @missjeanie! I pulled it out of the bin this weekend and plan to incorporate in my routine at some point.

Let me know if you can figure out the light scent on the murad @itsfi ! I remember enjoying it. I almost bought four more boxes and had to have a little chat with myself inside TJs last week. I swear someone takes over my brain in that store sometimes.
