A sample dive for the week:
There isn’t much of a scent in the peel’s semi-transparent gel, which has what feel like micro-fine exfoliating granules. It felt similar to Lancer’s The Method Polish, without the warming sensation. I massaged it for 45 seconds and rinsed. I could feel the little balling up of material; I think this is dead skin sloughing off...it was nice! My skin felt soft; I like this. It’s one of the more gentle exfoliations I’ve tried. The downside is that AD is 5th on the list. It’s hard to grade with just one foil, but I would be up for trying this one again-it would be fun to see it as part of a Sephora Favorites Set.
Saturday Skin Rub-A-Dub PeelI reapplied a bit of the Hello Kitty Macaron lip balm my Galentine @MissPuff sent. It’s a pretty lavender color and has a sweet scent. It has slightly more staying power than your average balm, plus it’s cute
The Crème Shop’s Hello Kitty Problem Solver sheet mask (thanks @veronika23!) seemed like the right follow-up. @itsfi recently tried this and included a photo of the mask, which has cute HK images printed in it. It has a subtle sweet apple scent, yum! It fit pretty good, thought it was a little small around the eye area. It was very comfortable and soothing, a mask I would have left on much longer had it not started to dry down around 20 minutes. It had a decent amount of tack, which was relieved by a bit of moisturizer. My skin feels very, very smooth this morning, I like this combo. This mask is an A and one I may need to hunt down for repeats.
Q is for Vitamin Q?
Vitamin Q is another name for the vitamin CoEzyme Q10 or coQ10, the same ingredient used in the mask that @Shosh85 just posted about - we're skincare ingredient twins, shosh! This Tencel fiber mask feels a like it has a little more heft than what I ordinarily think of when I think Tencel; it's not a bad thing here, just an observation. Adherence was great and the position and size of the facial features on this one (eyes, mouth, nose, etc.) was really nice for me - like most sheet masks, it was an inch too long at the chin and about half an inch too much on the sides and along the jawline. Surprisingly, this one fit my forehead perfectly. I only made a couple of slits to the inner corner of the eyes and outer corner of the mouth to help the material lay better. Instead of the recommended 10-20 minutes, I kept it on for my usual half hour and when I removed the mask, there was quite a bit of essence still waiting to be absorbed, which it did fully about another 15 minutes later. My skin was already clear, cleansed and soft from DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ Mask and after this mask, it felt bouncy and hydrated. There was a very slight tackiness to the touch but that was a distant memory once I followed up with my moisturizer. A little BKR - Paris Water Balmon the lips and I'm just about ready to call it a night. Maybe a little more time on BIC, but that's about it.
