Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Most definitely! @missjeanie  😉

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

oooh yay @lmaster  glad those are both worked out well!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thank you @Kim888  love the rose capsule 😍

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster Nice! 2 for 2!! The Coscodi mask sounds great and I'm so happy to hear you loved the Fresh Rose mask!! That's one of my most favorites now!! 🙌😍

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh it's a new love for me as well @Shosh85

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Awesome!!! 2 great masks! I think I have a similar one in that oozoo line coming. Can't wait to try it. @lmaster

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

They are pretty darn good @veronika23  the serum in the rose capsule is amazing!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Maybe I'll have to try it even though I know I'll hate that scent! Smiley Very Happy @lmaster

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yeah @veronika23  I'm hoping they do come out with different scents

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ah you tried the Rose mask @lmaster! I think I do remember the chin part a bit like you describe. That serum kinda makes up for it, though😄 It would be great if they made more with that type of serum but different scents (like a citrusy or herbal one?).

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh yes @eshoe  the serum was amazing!! I'd love to try more, if you ever come across some with serum like this, please let me know 😍

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I will @lmaster, so far I’ve found nothing like it; it’s so unique!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I went with a honey theme for the last night of Week 6 - Letter F and Vitamin masks.  “F” is for Farmacy, The Face Shop and Fi’s Favorites <3 <3 <3

IMG_3617.JPG

Spoiler
This trio has been one of the combinations I choose from for my travel day masking session. I start off with the FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy™, one of my favorites, for soft, smooth, hydrated and glowy skin.  For those mornings when I’ve left the house super early to get to the airport, the warming sensation from the Honey Potion is a nice welcome contrast to the cold. It’s an "A+" mask for me.  I follow it up with the FARMACY - Honey Savior All-in-One Skin Repair Salve with Echinacea GreenEnvy™ Honey. These foils have come in handy because I use some of it at home and then I pull it out and apply it over my face again after I’ve checked in and am on the plane. I look a bit shiny during the early stages of the flight but my skin looks nicely hydrated and is not dried out from airplane air.

On the night of a travel day, I usually end the evening with The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask. The fabric on the sheet mask is very thin (which I love) and is fairly saturated with the liquid-y essence; there’s also some extra essence in the packaging and, depending on how tired my skin is looking and feeling, I will pat that onto my face while I have the mask on or after I remove it, or I’ll slather it on my neck, shoulders, arms and legs. The mask adheres well to the contours of the face and feels cool on the skin. I usually keep this mask on for at least half an hour, 10 minutes longer than the recommended time, though there’s probably enough essence in the sheet masks that I could have kept it on for an additional 15-20 minutes. After removing the mask and helping the essence be absorbed into the skin by patting and pressing it into the skin, my complexion looks smooth and well hydrated. My skin feels soft and refreshed. This is one of my favorite honey masks; it’s just so good; easily an “A+” for me.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This sounds like a good travel masking plan, @itsfi! Honey is such a great ingredient for helping replenish the skin after all that dry airplane air.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yeah @quspork, that airplane air really does a number on my skin! That goodness for honey skincare products, especially sheet masks!! 🍯 The Face Shop one and the Tosowoong honey mask are a couple of my faves!! ♥️

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi I'm loving the honey theme.  Honey is just so soothing to the skin... and in my case the smell makes me happy!  Was nice to see your travel routine as well.  I'll bet you leave that plane with the best looking skin!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

So agree with you about honey 🍯 @missjeanie! Do you have any favorite skincare products with honey, or do you make DIY masks with it?

Awww, thank you! 🤗 My skin is a work in progress, that’s for sure, but now I don’t have to add stressing over wrecked skin from flying to the list. 😆 Having some “go to” products for a travel routine has been a long time coming - lots of trial and error! Such is the way with skincare in general, isn’t it?!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  I have a few home made DIY honey masks that I really like, usually me just concocting something at the time, but I've really liked the Honey Hair mask from Shea Moisture, The Body Shop has a honey line as well that I've liked a few things from.  Oh and the Nuxe Reve de Miel line is lovely as well.  Their lip balm is really nice.

I used to fly quite a bit for work and know how hard it can be on your skin.. It's nice that you've figured out what works for you!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Those all sound lovely @missjeanie! 💕 That’s fabulous that you come up with your own DIY masks! 🤩 I have the wash off honey mask from The Body Shop 🍯 that I’ve been wanting to try; I’ll have to pull that one from the bin to use soon! 😃

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi I go through phases where I think I can mix up all my own bath bombs/body scrubs/face masks... I blame Pinterest lol they never turn out quite as nice as the ones I buy... but some of the face masks/milk baths are nice.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie, I’m so impressed that you make your own bath bombs, scrubs and masks. I’ve done a few DIY masks but they are very simple - if I’m making something, it’s better for everyone that way! 😆😆
