Happy New Year, BIC! ✨ We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day 

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

Beautiful skincare routine, selections, I also think it’s so nice that you know the importance of the order and how things work for your skin! I’ve just heard by reading your posts of alot of these products these sound amazing the glossier sunscreen sounds amazing to tie all this wonderful routine together! First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanser with Red Clay 4.7 oz/ 134 g 

OLEHENRIKSEN Balancing Force™ Oil Control Toner 6.5 oz/ 193 mL 

COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (This is a newly added item thanks for the inspiration @itsfi )

Summer Fridays CC Me Vitamin C + Niacinamide Serum 1.0 oz/ 30 mL

This is what I tend to reach for on a day to day basis. Sometimes when working from home I will add in a mask after washing my face. I am trying to use up innisfree Super Volcanic AHA Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz / 100 ml , but I find I need a more moisturizing mask in the colder months.

If I have time I also use a device after masking and skincare called the blumene. I want to replace this device with NuFACE NuFACE® Mini+ Starter Kit (thank you TeamBIC!)

Awesome routine @Mellmars1185 ! Do you have oily/combo skin? Do you combine the oil control toner with the lactic acid treatment? 👀

I was thinking the same -- I love the innisfree Super Volcanic AHA Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz / 100 ml but it's a little too drying to be using during the winter time (recently discovered...)

@jaaayp Thank you. Yes, I do have oily/combo skin. More on the oily side. Yes I do use the toner and the lactid acid serum. Is that not good, lol? I am always learning!

@Shosh85 Thank you! It is funny because I never knew about it before @itsfi mentioned it in the Empties - V2 thread. After hearing about it, I was intrigued and then realized I had it in my stash 😆. I am now noticing it in other places like a flyer in the mail I got yesterday...it was 25% off! It is good to know it is available close by!

Yes! @Mellmars1185, I agree with @itsfi, I absolutely love snail in skincare! 🐌 ... and CosRx has definitely been a reliable brand! Marshall's is currently carrying a bunch from CosRx, so I recently was able to stock up on a couple things! 🙌

@Mellmars1185, I love that you found the serum in your stash! 😊 I don’t always agree with products that tout themselves as being suitable for all skin types but this CosRx snail mucin essence has worked well for my skin over the years - combo skin, very dry skin, dealing with acne, dehydration, dry patches, etc. @Shosh85

Oouh, which haruharu sunscreen do you use @Mellmars1185? The chemical or mineral SPF? I picked up the mineral one in a recent Asian beauty haul but haven't cracked it open yet. I have tried a few of their skincare products and really liked them.  Ahhh, interested to hear how the CosRX works out for you in the long run. I'm so impressed you incorporate a facial device in your morning skincare routine. 

Would you prefer a mask similar to the innisfree but more hydrating - pore clearing clay mask? With an AHA? Or, are you looking for just a hydrating mask?

@itsfi I use the yellow black rice spf. It is the chemical one. I really like how my makeup lays on top of it. Which one did you get? I think the mineral one comes in the purple bottle?

For the mask, I think I shoule try a moisturizing one without AHA. Although with may work too? Right now my skin has been behaving but drinking up all of the serums and moisturizers I have been applying. I find clay masks always suck the moisture out of my skin. Although, this one has no been giving me issues. I think maybe the warmer months are a better time to use it innisfree Super Volcanic AHA Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz / 100 ml #? I just want to finish it, lol. I have had it for a few years now

I keep reading about the COSRX Essence @Mellmars1185 . It must be terrific if you guys are loving it! How does it feel? Sticky at all? Or is it more liquidy? Sorry if a dumb question! 😆

@Sunnysmom I find the the COSRX essence has a thin, slippery texture that absorbs nicely into the skin. I don't find it sticky at all 😊.
