2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: LAST Week! - Don't forget hand + foot care

January Challenge visual_010825.jpg

Happy New Year, BIC! We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

Hit the “Reply” button below and let us know how you are practicing self-skincare! 😍 Be sure to use the “#” to tag any products mentioned in your answers, if applicable.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

You collection is so diverse and gorg @curlychiquita. There's something special about the cheek hugging brush from Fenty thou. It really catches my eye. 😍

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

@CynthieLu I use this blush constantly for powder blushes.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Like others have mentioned, I'm going to go with Briogeo's Scalp Shampoo.

Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo

I'm actually all out, so this is a good reminder to grab some soon.

***I keep my Brushes dust-free by storing them in a glass/metal brush holder with hinged lid and filled with fake pearls - got on Amazon (see photo)

Pillowcases/Towels:

• Tide HE Original Scent

• Downy Unstoppables Wash-In Scent Booster Paradise Scent

📸Picture of 3 Glass/Metal Pearl Filled Makeup Brush Holders with Lid - Amazon

(The smallest one in top left cube furthest to the left is plastic and I just added Pearls to it - I use that for small clips/hair elastics. The smallest Glass/Metal I use for Q-tips and Cotton Rounds/Pads. The 2 largest Glass/Metal are Brush Holders and one is also a Makeup Organizer)

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

Somebody loves Sol de Janeiro!  @Suzanne713

I agree that L'occtane Almond is intoxicating plus their foot cream really helps very dry feet

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

@CorgiMommy

....just a little bit...🫣😂☀️

(That's a lie...I literally can't get enough of Sol de Janeiro! I'm addicted!)

And the L'Occitane Amande Collection is just *chef's kiss*🤌🏽

I don't care for the scent of the L'Occitane Foot Cream...but omg my feet have never been softer!

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

Week 3....Wellness Tools:

Sol de Janeiro Body Firmeza Massage Tool

**I use this with the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Firmeza Firming & Debloating Body Oil 4 oz / 100 mL  and I don't a lymphatic drainage massage

Caudalie Anti Aging Lifting Facial Roller Tool

**Got this as a free gift with purchase - I love it!

LightStim Red Light Therapy Handheld Tool

**Bought this at Sephora a few years ago for $250. However, Sephora no longer sells LightStim products.

LightStim is the Brand of Red Light Therapy that Med Spas and Estheticians use - it actually works with consistent use! My skin is firmer, less lines, lifted, and I also use it for pain management!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Dry Body Brush

**The one I have has a pink handle.  It works really well  and removes dry/dead skin that I didn't even know I had!  And, it helps stimulate circulation! I use it on my entire body.  It's effective and inexpensive.

Hope this helps someone!🥰

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

@Suzanne713 great body tools ideas

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

@CorgiMommy.  Thank you so much!🥰

The Sol de Janeiro Massage Tool and Firmeza Body Oil and the Sephora Dry Brush are all amazing and are staples in my body care routine - if you haven't tried them, you're missing out!

The LightStim is definitely a splurge...but worth it!

It's a 2-in-1 for me...it definitely helps with anti-aging but it also helps my chronic pain.

(3 spine surgeries, herniated/bulging discs, permanent drop foot in left leg, severe nerve damage/neuropathy in both legs - I'm falling apart 😂)

So, if you have pain and want to smooth, lift, and firm your face/neck, etc., then it's definitely worth purchasing.

@CorgiMommy  Tatcha makes the best products!

Have you tried Tata Harper yet??

Love her products...they are made on a farm in Vermont and feel luxurious!😍

And, the Westman Atelier Makeup is just gorgeous and looks like your skin but better.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 6 - Stimulating Scalps

Week 6 - Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums 🧼 🫧

My Scalp Saviours double as hair care heroes. 💪 These are repurchases again and again.

💙 K18 Biomimetic Hairscience PEPTIDE PREP™ Clarifying Detox Shampoo 8.5 oz / 250 mL

I have repurchased this shampoo multiple times. Nothing works as good as this does at completely refreshing and cleaning my scalp without stripping it. It's gentle enough on my color treated hair and feels auh-mazing! I use this almost every week.

( Followed up with... K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask, it's 👌)

🩵 My Holy Grail scalp serum is OUAI Hydrating Scalp Serum for Healthy, Fuller Looking Hair 2 oz / 60 mL. I get amazing results when I use this on a nightly basis. I must be on my 5th bottle by now 😅 but it's sooo worth it. My scalp dosen't itch as much between washes and I get a nice little lift at the root too. It has a spa like scent that is very refreshing. It's a product I keep coming back to and enjoy so much!
