2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: LAST Week! - Don't forget hand + foot care

January Challenge visual_010825.jpg

Happy New Year, BIC! We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

Hit the “Reply” button below and let us know how you are practicing self-skincare! 😍 Be sure to use the “#” to tag any products mentioned in your answers, if applicable.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools!

I use it with both blue and red lights, is good for keeping away mild breakouts.  I still get like whiteheads, but if I feel something come to the surface, it usually stops it.  This mask with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel Pads also leaves my #kin baby soft.

I can't tell if it prevents wrinkles on its own, because I also use The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% Serum for Facial Wrinkles 1 oz/ 30 mL   I'm hoping the combo is what keeps wrinkles at bay (plus sunscreen).

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools!

Love these tools! I’ve never seen that cleaning brush until now, I love that! Does it work well with cleansing balms? that is definatley so helpful! Such a cool and multipurpose mask! Great picks ❤️ @danielledanielle

Relaxing in your favourite mask

I am late for week 2 mostly because I couldn't upload photo through App and kept getting lazy to send it to laptop for posting. Better late than never, right?

I love all kind of masks but I am not big on sheet masks. Here are a few I am reaching for more often this winter

IMG_8302.JPG

- Erno Laszlo VTM Mask: If a mask can give a glow of a long spa treatment at home, that is VTM mask. It has most unique texture and application and the glow it gives is unreal.

- YTTP Yerba Mate: Not big on physical exfoliants but one in a while when my nose feels like it needs an extra dose of scrubbing, this beauty comes to rescue.

- Ambuja Front Row Mask: One of the most hydrating masks. When I use it regularly, my skin looks and feels super plump and bouncy.

- KYPRIS cerulean Mask: It can be used as wash off or over night mask. I usually take the middle road and keep it on for an hours and then wash it off for my PM skincare. Any troubled are or irritation get instantly soothed with this mask so it is my go to for if I end up irritating my skin for some reason.

- Three ships Off Duty eye masks. I finished my Pixi eye mask tub and this one is the next in line to be used. I haven't actually used these long enough to give an opinion so that is reserved for another time.

- KOA Life Clay mask: I finished my most favourite clay mask (Ambuja Globe trotter) and since I had this Koa clay mask from my Ipsy bag so I decided to use it before opening next jar of globe trotter. It is a good mask that I don't mind finishing up but not so good that I go buy a new tube once this one is finished.

I'lll try to do the week 3 soon.

Youth To The People Yerba Mate Resurfacing + Exfoliating Energy Facial with Enzymes + Niacinamide 2....

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools!

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .

Tools

SEPHORA COLLECTION Dry Body Brush

it is cold 🥶 where I live this helps pre exfoliate my skin, and helps spread lotion or other products more evenly

SEPHORA COLLECTION Sephora Collection x Wet Brush Luxe Detangler

this is so helpful my hair gets so frizzy and knotted it’s helpful to be able to grab this and use this in the shower

SEPHORA COLLECTION Wooden Scalp Massager

(couldn’t find the one I use it’s pink) this helps spread products evenly through my hair in addition to the wet brush

SEPHORA COLLECTION Level Setter Razors (Dermaplaning)

Something that also really helps is posture for me and stretching which I don’t always remember to do but would love to try some massage products if anyone has any suggestions! Thank you 😊

great theme of the week 🙂

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools!

@peculiarzmakeup  Great way to wind down! I need to get back on my night time routine and start dry brushing again!! I have a scalp massager too and they are so good! 😊

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools!
