Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Below is the 2020 schedule. Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@itsfi  Now that it is available in Canada, I’m thinking to buy it during April Sale. It is reassuring to know that it actually works though I want it for hyperpigmentation and anti-aging benefits.

@fatimamummy, the sale is the time to pick it up. 😃 I was a little skeptical about it. A few other BIC folks whose feedback I trust have had good things to say so I went for it. Ideally I’d use it six times a week - 3 days with the acne light and 3 with the anti-aging light, but I know myself and I’m too lazy to jump in all at once so it’ll take me a while to work up to that.

My Mom always called that ‘checking your eyelids for holes’ @itsfi and I use it a lot as a result. These types of addendums are well-loved and appreciated ☺️

Hahaha! 😆 I love that @eshoe. I’m going use that next time! Most people now just tell me “good night” when I tell them I’m going to rest my eyes. 😂🤣😂

N is for Naruko

Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask

This is a thin cotton sheet mask that was saturated with a clear, slimy jelly serum and had a clean and fresh scent. It had a great fit - just a little too long at the chin and the mouth hole was slightly smaller than I prefer. It adhered well and was comfortable to wear the half hour I had it on. When I removed it there was a little bit of tack at first, but it only took a couple of minutes for it to fully absorb. My face looked slightly brighter/less dull, my skin was a little more plump and was SO soft and smooth. My face did feel just a smidge on the dry side, but nothing that made me run for the moisturizer.

This is one I'd definitely use again, because I love the snail and jelly serum, but I wouldn't go through a whole lot of trouble to find it - only because I've used other snail masks that hydrated a little better and had snail farther up in the ingredients. I'm also wondering if it might be better used in the summer, when my skin is a little less dry. 🤔

@Shosh85 I feel like I was just watching something about the CosRX snail stuff and how we don't know how much is needed for snail to be effective. Why is one product 96 and the other 92? Anyway, your experience speaks for itself and always listen to your skin. Maybe they thought they only needed a small amount of snail to make it good? Who knows!

@ShortErica  All I know is that I can see/feel a difference between this snail mask and one that has it in the first few ingredients. This is more of a fungus mask than a snail one 😂

@Shosh85  So strange snail was so far down on the list. I thought by the picture it would have been in the top ingredients!

Too bad this wasn’t a standout snail 🐌 for you @Shosh85. 😔 I like the Naruko sheet masks and snail + jelly serum would have been a winning combo. Onto the next snail mask! 🐌🐌🐌

@itsfi  This wasn't a bad mask at all, I just feel like if I'm gonna use a snail mask I'd rather use one that was loaded with the stuff 😉🐌

@Shosh85  A question, Does these masks and serums actually use snail essence or mucus or are these just ingredients with similar qualities?

@fatimamummy  The snail secretion in these masks do come from an actual snail! It sounds gross, but I love it and it has such great skincare benefits! 🐌

Wow ok this looks gorgeous @Shosh85, their aesthetic has always been appealing. Are you taking photos of your empty masks? I’m going to compile mine into a puzzle at the end of the year. This just looks to pretty to toss!

@eshoe The artwork on this one really is so great! I use to keep all my empty mask packages, but it always ended getting too wet and slimy (no matter how I tried to clean them first) and I'm a neat/clean freak so I gave up on that. I love the idea of a mask collage though! I think I might just start saving them again 😉
