Due to playing the beat the expiration date game, I've been focusing on matching up letters vs. themes. Which isn't quite as fun but it'll do. Anyway, here's some of my masking for the last week and yesterday.

First up some Boscia eye gels that were sent to me by @faeriegirl

I know the directions say to put the bigger side by the inner corner of your eye but my fine lines are more on the outside and that's what I wanted the eye mask to help with. Spoiler - it did some! The gels were super thin. They had netting on both sides and shame on me, I didn't use it to my advantage. I had a bit of difficulty applying and they moved a little while wearing. I wore them for 20 minutes. I agree they brightened. And my lines were temporarily improved. I'll give it an A. The A isn't as high as my Skyn Iceland A. Like @Shosh85 and some others, the sticker ones seem to be my preference. But yes, good solid A and I'll know if I run across them again to use the netting to put them on. Thanks faeriegirl!

Next up was the Beautaniq Beauty mask from @lmaster

I hadn't heard of this brand. The mask had a pretty good fit on top but the bottom half required smooshing. I don't recall a smell. I wore it for 15 minutes. There was a mild tack. The mask brightened but I'm not sure about the plumping and youth activating. I hope I jotted down more detailed notes at home because my memory is failing me. I think it was an A- or B+. Good mask for sure but I have other loves that trump it. I would definitely try this brand again. Thanks lmaster for sharing!

I liked the tencil material. It had a decent fit though I wish there was a little more on the forehead. It did require some mouth smooshing too. Opening the mask it dripped some serum into the sink. The scent was a little distracting at first. Looking at the front I wondered if it was the willow herb but then reading the ingredients I spotted the tea tree which isn't my favorite. It could have been a combination. The serum on the mask was more milky/creamy which was kinda a pleasant change. I wore it for 20 minutes. I was happy to see it not only brightened but did help with my red areas. I didn't feel any tack. I'm thinking A-/B+ depending on my nose's feelings. Maybe I should use masks with tea tree when my nose is stuffy. There was quite a bit of extra serum so I used it today. Yeah, the scent is the minus for me on this mask. I'd try another from the brand (that didn't have tea tree) but wouldn't actively search for it.

That Beautaniq mask jogs my memory, @ShortErica - it looks like it would have the most delicious scent! Bummer it wasn’t papaya or something similarly fruity.

Those Boscia eye masks fit very nicely, had to zoom in pretty close to even see them. Looks comfy.

I've been using the kiehls clay one every Monday so far. I need to be more consistent with using the wash offs I have. Maybe we both need to find a happy medium using both sheet and wash off @missjeanie 🤷‍♀️

@ShortErica Glad to hear you enjoyed the eye mask! I got some nice results too - but they definitely did slip around on me a bit 😉

I had pretty much the same feelings as you about the Crop mask - great results, but didn't like the scent. 😬 It's funny you mention the stuffy nose thing- my allergies act up pretty frequently and my nose always gets plugged up, so that's when I wait to use masks like that 😂

It sounds like your masking sessions this past week were pretty successful @ShortErica. I think I have both the Boscia eye masks to get to, as well as some Skyn Iceland that you gifted to me, and now I'm excited to try both. I am soooo far behind on my masking. You would think I would have gotten to more over the break, but nope. I just sat on my butt for most of it. 😉

A couple of night’s masking, to wrap up last week and get a start on this one:

TJ's, Sephora, Bite & TCS

This is the third time I’ve used the Trader Joe’s Blueberry Açai Facial Scrub. It usually gives my skin a little tingle, but this time it burned SO badly I removed it almost immediately. Now this one has the most amazing scent, it really does smell like blueberry muffins. So where on earth is all this skin aggravation business coming from now??? Guess I will set it aside until I can pinpoint it, I do love this one and would like to purchase FS at some point. It is beautiful and easy on the senses. I am on layer scrub-mania of the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Lip Balm & Scrub in Dragonfruit right now and it brings some serious exfoliation to my lips, so the Bite Maple lip mask gave them a good nurturing after using it. Haven’t tried the new Bite formula yet but have heard it is a bit thinner. Curious if anyone else has tried it yet.

The Crème Shop’s Confection Perfection is a mask a I was sooooooo excited to try. With cocoa, vanilla, and coconut - sounds like a recipe for delicious masking, right? It reminded me rather of your typical sheet mask scent, pretty nondescript. I was also expecting a cute little print (apparently I have not yet learned to lower the bar on my expectations), but it was a plain white cotton-y mask with eye flaps. Not a big deal, it fit fairly well though kept flopping away from my chin. I wore it for around 20 minutes and removed as a few areas were starting to dry. After removing I inspected my skin and it looked quite smooth and maybe a wee bit plumped. A decent mask, though not one I would seek out again.

After removing I inspected my skin and it looked quite smooth and maybe a wee bit plumped. A decent mask, though not one I would seek out again.</DIV>

I’ve got a little mountain range on my chin right now. I tried to remedy it best by opening a fresh tube of one of my favorite detox masks, the Pixi Skintreats Glow Mud Mask (first discovered this one from @missjeanie). Love this one for the gorgeous earthy ginseng scent, slow drying and cleansing properties. It is a joy to use, and one I hope to always have on hand (thank you @itsfi for this week’s theme). I applied a little of The Skinny Lip Balm recommended by @l8totheparty. It has the loveliest clove scent and paired perfectly with the Glow Mud. After rinsing with my The Original MakeUp Eraser The Original MakeUp Eraser® Makeup Remover Cloth Pink I opened and removed the Farmskin Pore-Purifying Sheet Mask gifted to me from @faeriegirl. There was only a slight clean, fresh scent - not soapy at all, just pleasant. It fit well across my face, with a little snip-snip on the outer corners of my eyes to fold the new little flaps down. I left it on for close to 30 minutes and removed. My skin appeared to be a bit brighter, though I don’t believe that is the intent of this mask. The proof in the pudding is that this morning, the hostile mountain range had somewhat subsided. I am curious about the other masks in this line, thank you faeriegirl for sharing this one with me, I enjoyed it!
