Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Sounds like the combination worked out really well then, @lnum!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork Yes, unexpected but I’ll take it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

That's wonderful to wake up with nice skin @lnum

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@emaisgr8 Now if only I could up to this kind of skin everyday! 😁

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lnum  Sounds like a nice combo! I love that Fresh mask - it's one of my most favorite clay masks! Glad to hear it's working so great for you! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 I think it might be a winning combination! How do you use the clay mask in your routine?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lnum  Whenever I've used it, I incorporate it into my routine like most clay masks I use - usually right before a hydrating/moisturizing mask, pretty much the same as you did here😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lnum  Oooo I have samples of the fresh mask I need to try out!! I’m glad your loving it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ather Sometimes you forget the simple trusted work horses in your stash are there for a reason!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I like this duo @lnum!! ♥️ I’ve been meaning to try the Primera Flaxseed mask so I may recreate this masking combo one of these days. Will be very interested to know how well it reduces pimples.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi It ends up a really nice combo. My regular routine is to do a clay or exfoliating mask before my shower and wash it off, then a sheet mask to hydrate and soothe after the shower. I otherwise wouldn’t have thought of this combo if not for the letters U and F!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

A few more catch up masks!

Sunday Day 14

Spoiler
The Farmskin Green Tea mask was one of the salad packs.  This does have a light scent to it, nothing very prominent and I really had to have my nose in there to find it, so would likely be good for those who's noses are adverse to scent.  The mask fit was pretty standard and I wore it comfortably for about a half hour.  I actually kind of forgot that I had it on, and probably should have removed it 5 minutes before I did.  There was enough extra serum in the pack to cover my decollate and arms.  The mask was meant to be soothing, and my skin didn't really need soothing particularly, but this was a GT mask, so it got picked.  I found that after my skin looked good, had that post mask glow about it that I enjoy.  I don't find this mask stood out to me, but it also didn't stand out as bad in any way.  I do enjoy the salad masks and have more to use, and I think that they make super cute gift packs, but I'm on the fence about weather I'd order more.  I think I'm getting a lot pickier about which masks I'd consider re-purchasable.

Monday Day 15

Spoiler
Almost forgot it was a new week since it was a holiday in Canada.  I went with the first F mask I saw today and it was the Super Fruits fruit salad mask from PINK by VS.  I didn't really read the package well on this one.  I should have saved it for a time when my nieces were over.  This is a pack of 8 spot treatment type masks all looking like different fruits.  It was super cute, I was just anticipating a full sheet mask.  There was no real scent to it when I put it on, however when I stuck my nose in I noticed a not so lovely scent.  There was quite a bit of serum in the package and the masks needed to removed from a plastic sheet like stickers.  Photo's below to show what I mean.  This was cute and I took a selfie to show the stickers, they were cute, excuse the everything else... lol haven't dyed my hair in a hot minute and I was in PJ's still.  Would I buy these again.... maybe to give to my nieces, they like these kinds of masks, for me... nah.  Too much out there I haven't tried yet.

Oh and a Summer Friday's scrub pre fruit salad!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh my gosh! @missjeanie I've never seen anything so adorable!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

You look super cute @missjeanie !

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@emaisgr8 Thanks!  They were too cute not to share!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

That's the thing about getting into masking, @missjeanie sooner or later you start getting pickier about what's worth a repurchase! It's definitely better for the wallet that way though (at least until you see new masks you haven't tried yet...).

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

So true @quspork

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork I found over the last couple of years (I started sheet masking because of this thread and all the lovely participants), I went from picking up anything with a pretty package to choosing more carefully based on materials, effect, brands and ingredients as I grow to know which I prefer.  I've been a lot pickier with masks the last 10 months or so that's for sure.   Not that I don't have an awful lot of 'meh' masks here to use up lol

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie  I had pretty much the same feelings as you about the green tea mask - decent, but nothing wowing. I think my favorite salad masks are the ones with the creamy/milky serum. 😉

Oh my goodness, those fruit slices look super cute on you! I think the only reason I'd buy them is to give to my nieces as well! My teenage niece had a birthday party and I brought like 4-5 boxes of different fruits so her and her friends could put "smoothies" on their faces. 😃 I really like that there's a mix of fruit in this one, versus a whole pack of one flavor - but it would've been better if it had a nice fruity scent. 🍓🍉🥝🍊

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Bang on @Shosh85 ! They're cute and they were a fun little surprise but nothing wowing other than the cute factor.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!
