Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Below is the 2020 schedule. Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

@mrsmouse Thanks again for giving me the chance to do this duel! 😃 I've been so curious how they'd compare! I'm happy the newer version seemed to be a little better - It always stinks when a mask you love gets discontinued!

Yaaaassss!  So happy you did a duel with these lovelies @Shosh85! You prefer the new version?!! Interesting. I spoke with a brand rep at last year's preview event about the difference between the two and she confirmed that the new version contains less silicones and more ceramides than the old version. Will have to try to recreate this duel some time; if not this year, then perhaps next.

@itsfi  Oh that's great you got to speak to rep about it! I didn't even think to look at the silicones - looks like the old version has dimethicone and the new version doesn't. Thanks for pointing that out! I'm definitely happy I found a box of the new version at TJ Maxx! 😃👍

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this duel whenever you get around to it!

I almost forgot to include the fact that I wore the Dr. Brandt probiotic sleeping mask. It is so lovely overnight for infusing moisture into my skin. Dr. Brandt Skincare Hydro Biotic™ Recovery Sleeping Mask. It is so nice to my skin for balance, evenness, and moisture.

@l8totheparty  The Creme Shop definitely makes some oversized masks! - but I agree, a little too big is better than too small! Happy to hear it gave you great results! I really enjoyed this one too 👍😃🍵

Happy to hear this one performed well for you @l8totheparty even if the fit was excessively large. Most sheet masks are a little bigger on me but there are definitely a couple from The Creme Shop that are extra. 😉

I'm so glad you liked the performance on this one @l8totheparty!  To be honest, all TCS masks are big on me (especially at the temples & chin), so I completely get what you're saying about that.  Maybe their moto is "go big or go home"?  😉

Haha!  That made me laugh. But honestly, I think I appreciate a larger mask than one that doesn't even cover to the sides of my face or the tip of my nose.

R is for Recovery. And instead of Dueling masks, it was Dual masking last night. Although DE’s Babyfacial is a fave for me, I found FAB’s Intensive peel to be...intensive! It’s a mask meant to be left on for 1-5 minutes and at the 3 mark, I could feel the burn getting intense. After washing it off, I followed it up with one of my go-to sheet masks: hence the Recovery. This morning, my skin looks great! FAB’s intensive peel gets an A for me, and as always I love the Lovemore sheet mask.

I've heard only good things about the Lovemore masks! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it and that it could soothe your skin after the peel! Glad this turned out to be such a great combo!

@newcarlee, I've had the Lovemore masks on my list for a while and was able to try my first one a few weeks ago and I so agree, they are definitely loves!! <333 I need to work through some more masks and then I can turn to the Lovemore masks in my stash. Am making a note of your thoughts on the pearl barley and milk mask.

I've heard that the FAB intensive peel lives up to its name - did you experience any redness from the burning?

Hi @itsfi, no redness for me thankfully. I’m fortunate that I’m not too sensitive or reactive to skincare, but that FAB peel does sting and burn.

R for Retinol and Rosehip Dr wellness nourishing and brightening. medium thickness white sheet, felt damp, not saturated, fit was long at the forehead, but did cling to my face without issues. the scent reminded me of lavender and rose, clear serum, and while the sheet didn't feel saturated, there was a bit of extra serum in the package. left it on for 20 minutes, and after removing my face felt like any serum was absorbed, so I did use the extra serum, which felt really nice on my skin. immediate tackiness that fades very quickly. lightly hydrated, nourished, a bit brighter, pretty decent,, not a stand out. no repurchase. also used the bat mask, I love this eye mask, it adheres very nicely and great results, I'll always use these 👍

Good to know about the Dr. Wellness mask @lmaster. You’ve tried other masks from that brand, yes? Was wondering if there were any ones you enjoyed a lot or if they all seemed to fall in the good but not standout camp?

Just a little long,, and I wish the serum had absorbed into the mask better @itsfi I have had these for some time,, so idk if that has anything to do with the performance in present time 🤷

Wednesday’s R is for roses masking involved a fave of the masking thread and newbie hair mask.

The Oozoo Fresh Capsule Mask Rose Petal is well loved by many on this thread and for good reason. This rose petal varietal, along with the honey / royal jelly mask, are my favorites from the line. The lightly rose-scented, creamy, milky serum from the mask is just divine and did a lovely job of moisturizing my skin. I’m working through a bunch of masks so I’m trying to be very judicious about which sheet masks I purchase / repurchase over the next two months, but I’ll be sure to include this one in my mask library when it comes time to replenishing my collection.

I debated whether to bring the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Complex Deep Conditioning Hair Mask with me on this trip. Its portability and convenience, and the fact that it would be very dry where I was headed helped with my decision to include it in my toiletries bag. I’m sure glad I decided to take it with me. My hair wasn’t holding up so well with the hard water, but felt much softer and more smooth and normal after I used this moisturizing hair mask. It has a light rose scent and while there are other masks I prefer over this one, it certainly came in handy and did a nice (and much needed) job of making my hair look and feel soft and healthy.
