Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@mrsmouse  I don't think I own the Black Pearl mask yet, but am making a list 😉 I wonder if it's a black mask? 🤔 - if it is I bet it'll fit good 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I'll post about it once I use it @Shosh85 for sure.  🙂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Bummer it wasn't amazing @mrsmouse !  I honestly don't even remember what I thought of this one.  I can 100% guarantee you though that I bought it since it touted the HA.  That and having little/no fragrance are keys for me when I look at the ingredients.  I say as I know that I always want a nice fruity scent.  The fragrance polar opinions in my mind are crazy arguing with each other on the regular.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Honestly, they can't ALL be amazing, right @missjeanie?  Also, it wasn't bad, just not anything to write home about.  I absolutely have no nose for fragrance, so I'm the worst person to give opinions when it comes to scents.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Lol!!! @mrsmouse probably was me 🤣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Oh I missed the airplane thing, @mrsmouse! Also, anytime I see HA my ears perk up - sorry it wasn't the best, but hey, yay for trying something new and no irritation/hives 😄

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Haha @eshoe!  Someone had made a comment, and I really thought it was @lmaster, about pinching/folding the mask at the cheek so that it looked triangular like an airplane wing (point towards the nose but wider at the hairline).  They were far more elegant in their explanation than I am here, but I knew exactly what they meant and it made perfect sense to me because I often have to do the same type of fold.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Well you explained it well enough that now I’m in the know, @mrsmouse - thank you!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Too bad there wasn't more of a plumping effect. Love the packaging tho, @mrsmouse!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I know, right @quspork?!  It's sooo pretty!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Just a quick PSA. I’m not much of an alarmist but figured I’d share. Idk if people have tried the Yes To masks but there seems to be some issues with the ingredients. I just saw an article about lots of people (including kids) that tried their Grapefruit Unicorn mask and got serious burns on their face. It seems to have been pulled from shelves but in case you guys have it, use with caution.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I stay away from yesto @makeitup305 thanks for sharing this!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thanks for the PSA @makeitup305. I haven't tried that one, but I seem to remember another one of their products irritating my skin in the past.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thank you @makeitup305 . I tend to stay away from anything citrus as it tends to irritate my skin.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Ooooh thank you @makeitup305! My daughter did use that one, thankfully it did not bother her but it's good to know. That sounds awful:(

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Whoa! O_o  I hope anyone who has them sees this post @makeitup305!  I don't have any, but SUPER appreciate the "heads up" anyway.  Thanks!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I am not a regular but masked today 8B987A75-88F6-4565-973E-27F27CE495C2.jpeg

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Awesome @naturalooks15 I'm so going to use this the same when I use an exfoliating serum or scrub!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@mrsmouse  @Kim888  I really like this combo. I used to get taught skin, definitely some dry patches and irritated spots next day after using babyfacial (the reason I haven't been able to use it up) but today I woke up with nice moisturized skin.

Here is how I used it -

  • Wash face with Beste
  • Apply babyfacial, keep it for 20 min, wash off babyfacial
  • Applied The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics and combo of Squalane oil 3 drops + half pump Lala (usual night routine)
  • Thick Layer of F-Balm
    • When applied it was soothing and cooling
    • When applied in thick layer, cooling feeling stays longer. It's nice one not the tingling kind that you get when applying mint/menthol infused thing
    • Very faint scent that reminds me my grandma. DE never adds fragrance so whatever is in the ingredients, that's what it is. Many might not even notice it
    • Did not feel or look greasy
    • Next morning skin is well moisturized, no dry patches or irritated spots
    • I NEED this for using my exfoliators and retinol 😄
  • Will be testing it alongside Stratia Liquid Gold that has similar effects (I used ot 4 times so far, got it in Dec).

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@naturalooks15  I used Baby Facial last night! Haven't tried F-balm, but I've been hearing so many good things about it (especially in combination with Baby Facial).  Sounds like it's a winning combo!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Great review, @naturalooks15 thank you for sharing. It sounds like a good post-retinol mask. I am also curious about the very faint scent...there are a couple of beauty products that remind me of my grandmother so naturally I love them. Hope to sample this one soon!
