Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Below is the 2020 schedule. Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Oooh I have the Prism but not the courage to try it yet, @Kim888! About how long did you leave it on for, both times?

@eshoe I just went ahead and left it on for 20 minutes. Maybe I relied too much on the similar noted acids in the DE babyface when making that decision but it worked out fine for me. It was not irritating at all - my face felt slightly dry after, but that's not abnormal for me - I usually have to moisturize pretty well after resurfacing masks. If I didn't use the DE often, I'd probably leave it for 10 minutes. I think the danger of the herbivore is it really feels like nothing on the skin so you have no warning if something is going wrong. Like, the DE generally I have some tingling and such

Ahhh that makes sense @Kim888. I only use the DE once a month, for 10 minutes. The OH berry nurturing mask is also a fruit enzyme resurfaced but I don’t think it’s nearly as potent. I can leave it on for 40 minutes and nada. 

Thank you very much for your input. I think I will patch test it first and then try it a few minutes at a time.

I also have the Prism mask but have yet to try it out... I did a patch test but I’m still hesitant! 🙈

I’m afraid it might sit for a couple more weeks, too @mazzkm. Someone here tried it and 3-4 minutes was all it took😳 My curiosity, though! Your patch test went 👍🏼, though-great start!

Oh, I think that was maybe me, @eshoe. I've been using it weekly, now, while also ramping up my other actives and I haven't had a reaction like the first time. I do think it is too strong if you haven't used any exfoliants recently. If your patch tests are okay, I recommend starting off with 5 min and then ramp up to ten after a few weeks. @mazzkm

Oops sorry @haleyvvvv! I use chemical exfoliating masks once a week or so, so I’m thinking I will try a patch test tonight or tomorrow. You’ve given me hope😉

A leftover from last week for G- ginseng! (Although it's also an S so it works now too.)

The Secriss Red Ginseng Pure Nature Mask.

This was a freebie that came with an order from Jolse maybe? And I have to say for a toss-in freebie mask it wasn't bad at all. My expectations from these types of masks are usually low but this one did pretty well. It's a thin cotton mask, but it did have some difficulty staying down on my face. There is a very noticeable ginseng scent which I don't mind but I know that scent isn't always liked by everyone. The fit was overall pretty good, but the eyes were too small. In the end, it was quite hydrating and my skin looked nice after removal. So not bad, probably a solid B because of the fit and adherence issues.

@quspork  It's always nice when a mask turns out to be better than your expectations! 👍 A "B" isn't too bad for a free mask! 😃

Ginseng is an awesome ingredient, I'm not sure I know exactly what the scent is @quspork but I know ginseng is very sought after, I'd definitely use this too!!

Ginseng is a very earthy, musky scent, @lmaster - it's one of those that's kind of unmistakable once you've smelled it. I actually don't mind it as I tend to prefer earthy and spicy scents sometimes.

Ok @quspork good to know!! I have a ginseng mask now, I'm going to try it soon so I can smell it 😉

A solid B isn’t terrible, @quspork - love that it had a noticeable ginseng scent. Though I’ve found subtle definitely trumps overwhelming ginseng in terms of scent.

It definitely didn't seem overpowering at all, @eshoe but honestly, I'd take an powerful ginseng scent over a powerful floral scent I think. Anymore some of those floral notes can just be too much for my nose!

That's so true, @eshoe. I used to love a good floral and some are still nice, but some of them can easily become overpowering. Was it you who had an anti-rose phase last year? I might be mis-remembering haha!

Nope you remembered unless there are multiples of us, @quspork! I used to love all things rose and guess I kinda just fell away from it over time. Not even sure why, just did🤷🏻‍♀️
